Ristorante Minerva In Assisi

Hotel located just a few meters from the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi. Very elegant, with antique stone decor, rooms equipped with many amenities, including a mini-fridge, hairdryer, television, air conditioning, mosquito netted windows, shower tray, and desk—it has it all. We had a great time; the restaurant is also well-run, located within the Minerva, but you pay extra. The owner welcomed us kindly despite her busy schedule. I'd like to offer a piece of advice to improve guest hospitality: hire more staff. It's clear how much effort and difficulty your employees have in carrying out their duties, especially at the front desk. It's unthinkable for the waiter or housekeeper to have to hand out keys, or even answer guest calls. It has an elevator. The breakfast is very generous and delicious, both sweet and savory. The cleanliness is excellent, both in the rooms and at the tables. There is no parking, but upon check-in, they give you a parking pass. It's child-friendly. A wonderful experience.

Excellent hotel with an exceptionally rude member of staff - just one member to spoil the whole stay. This hotel is a gem of a place if you are in Assisi. Location is just 3 minutes walk from Basilica of St Francis. We had a pleasant welcome with a warm smile and very professional hospitality. Upon arrival, we had requested for late check out and happy to pay the extra money. Their member of staff politely said the rooms are fully booked for the next day so we can stay extra 30 minutes and no need to pay for this extra 30 minutes. So we planned our next day itinerary based on this ( considering travelling with a 6 month old baby). The next day- there was another lady in the front desk, who was also serving in the restaurant for breakfast. She was extremely rude with us in the restaurant. There was no prior information that the plates were already on the table. Upon arrival for breakfast- we tried to take plates for breakfast. She came and talked to us extremely rudely that plates were already on the table . How will we know if that’s not priorly said! And the number of people opted for breakfast could be less - so you won’t notice this table with white table cover and then white plate on it! When we were going out to the basilica in the morning, this same women told we must vacate at 10 am. Then we politely said that her colleague has given us extra 30 minutes. She responded in the very grumpy and rude way that she won’t allow it as the cleaner needs to clean the rooms and they specifically needs to clean our room as the first one of the day. It’s not about saying different rules by different staffs- it’s all about how they treat you or how they interact with you. This particular member of staff is an extremely rude person with no professional values in dealing with clients. She will spoil the hotels reputation . Other than this - the overall experience was good.

Clean room suitable for two people, varied and plentiful breakfast, kind and helpful staff, very convenient to the Basilicata of San Francesco.

I'd call it a very pleasant surprise, or even a 3-star hotel disguised as a 2-star. Exceptional location, very central! Nice and comfortable rooms with large, renovated bathrooms. Very clean. Prompt and courteous service. Abundant, varied, and high-quality breakfast. Truly satisfied, I recommend it!

We had the opportunity to return to Assisi at the Minerva. I can confirm it was a unique, relaxing, rejuvenating experience, and everything was always excellent. I reiterate that the location is right in the center, just steps from the Basilica of Saint Francis. The hotel deserves the highest rating, from its cleanliness, to the excellent staff, to the always authentic and exceptional cuisine. But above all, Pietro. A very well-kept, clean hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast is excellent, and the location is strategic: 200 meters from the Basilica of San Francesco and the secure parking lot. We'll be back :-)
