A pearl set in the heart of Mantua, with Renaissance frescoes in the ceiling vaults, and ever-changing paintings for temporary exhibitions on the walls.... Truly evocative....

Very nice place and very friendly staff. An appetizer, 3 first courses, 2 waters and 2 coffees €83 but on the other hand we are in the historic center. It's understandable.

The service was great. Very friendly and quick. We tried our best to speak Italian, but the service staff also spoke English if necessary. The starters were good, as were the pizzas themselves. But there is definitely something better. We were satisfied. Thanks for the nice evening.

Dîner en terrasse sur la jolie piazza Broletto. J’ai choisi le risotto alla pilota, spécialité de Mantoue que j’apprécie : l’assiette était abondante mais, alors que le riz et la chair à saucisse auraient dû être liés au beurre et fromage, l’ensemble était très sec. La carte annonçait des glaces mais, au moment de choisir, il n’y avait que du sorbet citron qui ne me tentait pas. J’ai opté pour le tiramisù, lui aussi décevant, compact et peu savoureux. Addition de 26,50€ avec de l’eau pour boisson.

di sera a cena bella atmosfera, cibo buono senza eccellenze, servizio buono, prezzo nella media forse un poco sopra, ma la posizioni ha anche un suo plus

04/01/2025: The pleasantness of the environment is subjective. The name evokes "peasant" environments with touches of copper and Austrian edicts hanging on the walls. Nice fireplace and charming entrance veranda. The menu is traditional. All good but without creativity. The bill... salty.
29/12/2024: The style of the restaurant is ancient but very beautiful. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. We eat very well. Perfect especially for Christmas. For New Year's Eve they do a race to get the animals and you can take them home, they even give some fish for each person.

24/11/2024: Siamo andati per un pranzo domenicale, abbiamo prenotato il mattino stesso. Particolarità di questo ristorante è che condivide un bar-tabacchi all’interno della stessa struttura. Menu vario, sia carne che pesce. Qualità dei prodotti ottima con piatti del territorio. Ravioli delicati e ben fatti, ragù di lepre eccezionale come i bolliti, porzioni abbondanti. Vino sfuso non convincente. Prezzo ottimo! Unica pecca il personale freddo, ha compensato il proprietario del locale, gentile e simpatico. Ci tornerò !
03/11/2024: Siamo stati a cena in questo locale che ci era stato consigliato...abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di salumi e formaggi a seguire le Lunette alle ortiche davvero delicate buone e un ottimo stufato d'asino con la polenta ...il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino di produzione propria...ottimo cibo e bellissima serata.
