We were in Chieti the weekend before Christmas and, along Corso Marrucino, we made a pleasant discovery: Tony's Magico Alverman restaurant.
We immediately felt at home and enjoyed the food, so much so that we returned the next day.
The grain and quinoa soup was excellent, as were the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffle. The focaccia with Colonnata lard was also excellent.
If you're passing through Chieti, stop by—you won't be disappointed.

We had dinner tonight, everything was delicious, the staff were very kind, starting with the gentleman who took our orders, who gave us some valuable advice, and even the younger guys who waited on tables.
My husband had a double portion of cace ovo, I had a legume soup, my daughter had a pizza, and the other daughter chose a mix of Ascoli olives, potatoes, and crab claws. With wine, water, and coffee, we spent €57 in total.

Kindness and hospitality are the hallmarks of this place.
The food is good; a little attention to the salt content in the dishes makes everything excellent.
The lactose-free desserts are delicious.
The place is a bit 1980s-style, but very clean and tidy.

We stopped by chance, my husband and I were passing through, and we have to say it was a surprising discovery! The owner is very accommodating and kind, and he passionately explained his daily specials to us, conveying a familiar atmosphere. We had the cheese and egg meatballs, a pappardella with porcini mushrooms and truffles, and a pizza with sausage and truffle. Everything was excellent and, above all, of excellent quality; you could taste the quality ingredients throughout. It's definitely a place we'll be revisiting to try other dishes and their desserts. Very beautiful and welcoming place. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. Tony, the head waiter, immediately made us feel at ease. We ate very well, especially the gluten-free dishes. Definitely recommended.

We found this pizzeria in the historic center of Chieti by chance while passing through. The atmosphere is very refined, the service excellent, and the service extremely welcoming. The pizza (not all of them serve it at lunchtime) is very good, and the dessert (tiramisu) is also very good, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommended.
