Ristorante Lo Zaru In Savigliano

11/01/2026: We live about thirty kilometers away, and it's a shame because if we were closer, it would be our favorite place. We went back last night. The appetizers were fine, with excellent ingredients and more than adequate portions. The first courses were superb. First of all, the ravioli, square, as tradition dictates, not those stupid-looking plin that have flooded restaurants and trattorias in the Langhe and are so small they taste like nothing. Then the pappardelle, a perfect ragu, and among the second courses, a perfectly cooked chicken and an excellent braised meat. Generous portions without any problem. The desserts were also good, with two delicious homemade cakes and a pleasant bunet, plus a mineral water and a 66cl Moretti. The price for all this was less than 30 euros per person. Fabulous. Authenticity and honesty can still be found, you just have to look a little. Highly recommended. Go there.

03/01/2026: Excellent Saturday lunch. Light and tasty ravioli, as was the tajarin. The chicken was free-range, meaning it didn't have that classic bland supermarket chicken flavor.
