Eight of us dined at this restaurant in early October 2025 on our way back to Germany.
Everyone enjoyed the food, and everything was just perfect: food, service, and ambiance.
We all received our primi, secondi, and dolci at the same time, and, as the Italian menu sequence dictates, everything wasn't mixed up. The service was attentive, the wines exquisite, and a huge window in the dining room was open, creating a pleasantly cool atmosphere.
As German tourists, we were naturally unaware that mussels can be prepared in so many exciting ways – we tried four of them at our table and will certainly try these specialties again next time. We highly recommend this restaurant!

I went to L'assaggio on Wednesday, and even though it's October, I found the staff to be incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming, a rare treat.
The food was all delicious; the seafood fregola was spectacular.
I'll gladly return because it's one of those places where, when you need to relax, you find it and they make you feel right at home.

I had the best seafood fregola of my life. It was a wonderful place, a peaceful atmosphere, and a pleasant evening pampered by impeccable service and truly exquisite food.
A special mention goes not only to the fregola, but also to the homemade guttiau bread, which is almost addictive. They were extremely attentive to the customer and promptly brought it back to the table as soon as it was finished, without even having to ask.
I also tried the carasau parcels with melted pecorino cheese, guanciale, and caramelized onions, and the gnocchi with sausage and saffron. Everything was truly excellent.

I’m so happy we found this spot! L’Assagio in San Pantaleo was hands down the best meal of my Sardinia trip. The town itself is picture-perfect, and the restaurant has such a warm, welcoming vibe. Service was excellent, and the food… wow. They’re famous for their mussels, and for good reason—we ordered the ravioli and a full kilo of mussels alla matriciana. It was incredible, one of those meals you’ll never forget. If you’re staying anywhere near Olbia, don’t miss it!

Una vera perla nel cuore di San Pantaleo!
L' atmosfera è accogliente e curata nei minimi dettagli, ma quello che fa davvero la differenza è il calore umano. Graziano, Liliana e lo staff sono semplicemente eccezionali: ospitali, appassionati e sempre attenti a farti sentire come a casa.
Cibo superlativo, principalmente le cozze, una vera specialità de l'Assaggio.
Lo consiglio assolutamente a chiunque voglia godersi un momento speciale

Il menù cambia con le stagioni e valorizza i prodotti locali: formaggi, vini, carni e pesce fresco selezionati con cura, specialità del ristorante le cozze cucinate in 18 ricette differenti, freschissime e locali preparate con un tocco moderno ma rispettoso della tradizione.
La location è incantevole, con una terrazza che regala serate magiche sotto le stelle e interni accoglienti che raccontano lo stile rustico-chic tipico della zona.
