I visited La Vecchia Locanda for a lunch which alternated pleasant aspects with decidedly less satisfying ones. The place offers a simple atmosphere and welcoming service, but the prices do not always reflect the overall quality of the experience. The chef's welcome consisted of a delicate cream served with crunchy wafer and a touch of originality, with a very careful presentation. The chanterelle crostini with smoked provola were crunchy and tasty, accompanied by a fresh salad: a successful dish. The fried polenta sticks were well browned and crunchy, but the fondue had a disappointing flavour, not up to expectations. The Gran Bologna tortelli with Parmesan cream was the best dish of the day, with well-prepared fresh pasta and a tasty cream, all impeccably presented. The smoked scamorza with porcini mushrooms, however, was disappointing, as it lacked flavor, and the dish does not justify the price of 16 euros. The Cabernet DOC “Il Gelso” was discreet, but the price of 24 euros was excessive compared to the perceived quality. The €5.60 cover charge for two people included good quality bread, served in a neat basket. The tortelli certainly represent the strong point of lunch, both in terms of taste and presentation. However, the fondue and scamorza were weak points on the menu. The overall quality-price ratio leaves something to be desired, especially for some dishes and the wine. La Vecchia Locanda offers well-presented dishes, but the experience was mixed. Against a bill of 82.50 euros, some dishes did not satisfy either the taste or expectations. Recommended only for those looking for visually refined cuisine, but who are not too demanding in terms of flavour.

Christmas lunch with my wife and sister-in-law, with tasty dishes starting from the appetizers and ending with homemade desserts. All excellent in a warm atmosphere and with the friendliness of the restaurateurs and employees.

A certainty You can never go wrong eating here

First experience at La Vecchia Locanda: fantastic welcome, attentive service without being invasive; complete traditional menu with some reinterpretations and the main dish "the Petronian cutlet", complete wine list with some highlighted labels. Price in line with the quality of the products and service, not cheap.

Personale cortese e accogliente. Ottimo servizio e il menu era ricco di offerte. Preparazione delle pietanze con attenzione e abbiamo trovato tutto molto buono. Efficienti e ci torneremo.

Locale molto carino, personale gentilissimo in grado di sapervi coccolare con assaggino di benvenuto e liquorini. Ottimi i primi e i dolci. Bravi!
