A real underdog restaurant. The exterior isn't exactly what you'd expect from a local, but once you've been inside, you'll want to eat there again and again. Simply superb Italian food. A particular highlight is the fresh fish on Fridays.

The food was excellent. We arrived around noon and shortly after tables filled. 3 large parties. Our server was so nice, we never felt neglected. The house white wine was great. A perfect match with our lunch. We would return tomorrow but they are closed on Sunday.

Fantastic local place! I think we were the only tourists in here on a busy Tuesday night. The food is absolutely delicious, the house wine was good for the price. And the service was spot on.

If you want to eat inexpensively but still enjoy delicious food, this is the place. Locals frequent this place, which is definitely a good sign. The service was friendly and quick. The food was very good, with the meat being rare, typical of Tuscany. The portions were generous. Some guests brought their dogs, so if you have a dog, you can apparently bring it along. If you're looking for a touristy place and expect an upscale atmosphere, this is the place for you. If you want excellent Italian food, this is the place for you.

Good food, good prices, but unwilling arrogant bartender/receptionist very much spoils the overall impression of the restaurant. The rest of the staff was fine.

Bar Belvedere

09/12/2025: I had breakfast there and a pizza there in the evening. It has a magnificent view of the Montalcino valley; otherwise, the place has simple, very spartan decor, but its true value lies in being a meeting place for the locals, the real ones. The croissants are average, but that's something it shares with other bars in town. The pizza is very good. The service is courteous, and the quality/price ratio is good.
31/10/2025: A delicious aperitif with wine and prosciutto. Must try!

Ristorante-Pizzeria Ai Girasoli

08/01/2026: We stayed at the hotel next door and had dinner here. The place was very beautiful and well-appointed, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I broke a glass as soon as I arrived, but they were very kind in fixing it right away. My son's pasta with ragù was excellent, the tagliolini alla Pescatoria was very good, as were the cold cuts. Perhaps only the liver pâté was a bit "no." I had fried lamb chops, perhaps a little too breaded, but good! My cuttlefish and artichoke salad was excellent, and the tiramisu was perhaps one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommended restaurant, everything was really good. The bill was also reasonable.
06/01/2026: I had a wonderful time at this restaurant, thanks in particular to the lovely Klerjan, who handled my requests with great care. I had the buffalo mozzarella pizza, which was truly exceptional!
