Ristorante La Primula In Terni

Two words sum up my experience there: Simple and Pure! We found the restaurant by chance; we arrived at the place, an out-of-this-world restaurant from times gone by. (Don't look at the outside; you'll miss all the magic inside.) At the entrance, a gentleman named Carlo welcomed us. He immediately introduced himself with a brief introduction to his life and what he loves to do every day! We sat down at the table, two men and two women, and suddenly Carlo brought us two beautiful, freshly picked yellow roses—a simple gesture that was more than appreciated! We started with a beautiful "primrose platter" and he explained everything inside and how it was produced. Every bite tasted of quality and love. The first courses were indescribable, a unique flavor! The desserts are all worth trying, each one better than the last. While we were eating lunch, we heard a newborn goat crying, so we were curious and asked if we could see him. Suddenly, he brought him to the table, a beautiful goat named Pippo, who kept us company for a few minutes, a wonderful experience we'd never had before. Also, when we were about to leave, Carlo showed up with a bottle of water and four glasses, useful for the return trip since we were coming from Rome... we were speechless! But in all of this, the real experience was getting to know a person like Carlo, full of joy, always attentive in his manners, thoughtful, satisfied with where he's arrived now with all his sacrifices (things that are overlooked these days). What can I say... not just a simple lunch, but a real emotion!

Today I went to this restaurant for lunch. I was initially skeptical from the outside, but once inside, we were greeted by Carlo's kindness and hospitality. The food and his approach made all the difference. Delicious, locally sourced food. You could really see his passion and care for his customers. The portions were generous and delicious. I recommend!

Don't judge by the cover, very welcoming and the service was fast, professional, and above all, friendly. Local and delicious products. After two days of being hospitalized in Rome, my daughter and I had lunch here. Being strong believers in the Lord, this was the right place. Thanks for the roses and potatoes, God bless you.

I discovered this restaurant by chance while passing through Terni, but it was still a unique experience. The food is of the highest quality, grown and raised directly by the owner, who, in addition to his love of cooking, has a profound knowledge of the region and its products. Highly recommended!

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Everything is locally sourced and homemade: cured meats, cheeses, meat, bread. The menu changes based on availability. Carlo is incredibly kind, we'll definitely be back. Thanks again!

For me, La Primula is a place where you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, inviting you to savor the moment and simply unwind. The food truly impressed me – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. You can tell that they value quality and honest cuisine. Every dish was a little moment of pure enjoyment. The service was friendly, attentive, and very warm – just the right mix to make you feel completely at ease. It's definitely a place I would happily recommend and one I would return to anytime. 🌿🍽️✨

I was looking for a restaurant where I could eat typical local products, and seeing the numerous positive comments and good ratings, I was drawn to Primula. The atmosphere is homey, and Carlo, the host, welcomes you with kindness and courtesy, a real added value, along with his partner Valeria. Five of us ordered a large platter of mixed cured meats and cheeses, all homemade, absolutely amazing. Two gnocchi with cheese and truffle, two ricotta and spinach ravioli (not on the daily menu) with cheese and truffle, one ricotta and spinach cannelloni with tomato and mozzarella (another off-menu dish and made fresh on the spot), one portion of liver and sausages accompanied by wild herbs, one ricotta with honey, two bottles of water, two liters of wine, five coffees, and in total we spent €177. The prices are slightly higher than average but are justified by the extremely high quality of each ingredient and by the love and courtesy that the owner puts into making everything unique and making every customer feel at home. Highly recommended place, a gem. If we ever come back to Terni we will definitely be back!!!

It's a small restaurant that amazes you, even if it's a bit out of the way, for the food and the helpfulness and courtesy of Mr. Carlo (the owner). The dishes are each better than the last, carefully prepared by the owner's wife. The ingredients are either homegrown by Mr. Carlo or sourced from trusted local farmers and ranchers, making the dishes a culinary spectacle. This is our second visit, even though we live in Rome (130 km away). We'll definitely be back again. Try it, you won't regret it.
