Ristorante La Lampara In Pizzo

Disappointing, Went here for dinner in October based on the reviews and hoping for something a bit special and away from the commercial centre. The venue was very nice, probably the first meal indoors on our holiday. However all the other clientele were also tourists, no Italians, always a bad sign. Maybe because of this there was no atmosphere. The staff also lacked the typical Italian hospitality, possibly because the boss/chef was American.(oops). But the main gripe was that the food wasn't anything special. We ordered a whole fish to share. Presentation could have been better but they hadn't even descaled it which in my book is pretty basic. Also we could hear the frequent ping of the microwave. Still better than most UK restaurants but expect better in Italy.

I went to dinner with a group. As the only vegetarian, I was presented with alternatives. Both the fried foods and the pasta are excellent.

Lace place along the main highway. Simple and familiar environment. Definitely a fresh product, the spaghetti is excellent while the pacchero with swordfish ragout where the tomato predominates and the swordfish is lost is not very tasty. Honestly, I expected something more in terms of the abundance and richness of the dishes where, for example, the mixed grill only had a slice of swordfish, a slice of tuna and a prawn. Another negative note was that the wine list was in strong decline and many proposals were missing. Price quality is not too proportionate, with prices now in line with the large cities of the North. However, the freshness of the product is good.

Nice restaurant. Especially when the rest are closed on Tuesday. Fresh fish. They cook quickly and tasty. Tartufo is very tasty.

Wir haben den Abend im La Lampara sehr genossen. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet - wir hatten als Vorspeise einen gemischten Salat und Ravioli. Als Hauptgange den gebratenen Tunfisch und die frittierte Fischplatte. Alles sehr zu empfehlen.

Abbiamo trascorso un’ottima serata all’insegna del buon cibo e del buon vino, dall’ antipasto misto di mare, ai primi e secondi piatti. Personale molto cordiale e veloce nonostante fosse solo!!! Complimenti, Consigliatissimo
