If Florence had a culinary time machine, Trattoria Braciere Malatesta would be it—except instead of taking you back to 1954, it simply never left. The bistecca is so perfectly charred you half expect Michelangelo to put down his chisel and pick up a fork. The pizza? Let’s just say if Dante had tasted it, The Divine Comedy would’ve included an extra circle of heaven reserved for mozzarella. The service is warm, efficient, and sprinkled with just enough Italian flair to make you feel like part of the family—without the obligation to help with dishes. My only regret is not having two stomachs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (and an extra one carved into the bistecca)

This restaurant was closed to our hotel in Florence. Great food, great atmosphere. The staff was acting like they never heard tourists speak English before, they were constantly staring lol The food took a little time to come but other than that, it was perfect and delicious. I recommend to try the egg yolk appetizer with bacon and mushroom. I believe their pasta is homemade and my husband really enjoyed the ravioli. They also prioritize reservations over walk in.

Really big restaurant even though it doesn't look that way from the street. The food was very good, I really enjoyed the carbonara and the chicken with roasted potatoes. By far one of the most flavorful chickens ive tried. As for the capresa salad it was alright, the mozzarella didn't have a very strong taste. We also got a dry aged T-Bone steak which was not exactly how I Imagined it but we still ate all of it and I was happy with the meat. Didn't exactly meet my high expectations but still good. It was a little pricey but maybe that has to do with the fact that the steak alone was 120€. I loved the energy of the short lady who served us but didnt get her name. Props to her for doing her job well, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to people who visit Florence

Good restaurant, very delicious T bone steak.

We ate at this restaurant two nights in a row. The food was excellent. However, on the second night, we encountered a very unpleasant waitress (apparently the manager). We'd barely been seated when we had to order! The order was taken in Italian, with no effort to speak English, and a borderline annoyed expression, showing very little respect for the tourists who nevertheless make up a large portion of the clientele... What a shame!

A very good steak!!! As a true Florentine, I find Braciere Maletesta an excellent restaurant with ancient traditions. Congratulations to all the staff for their kindness and competence
