Gezellig gegeten met gezin. Voor Italiaanse begrippen normaal, maar als je hoofdgerecht besteld krijg je alleen vlees en verder geen bijgerechten. Bediening vriendelijk, spreken slecht Engels. Binnen is restaurant niet echt sfeervol

Un ristorante consigliato da amici nelle vicinanze della cantina Antinori altra splendida esperienza Il ristorante è un classico delle terre senesi ma si mangia veramente molto bene Non abbiamo preso antipasti o primi ma siamo andati subito sulla carne E abbiamo mangiato un ottimo giro arrosto ( quaglia ,fegatini,Salciccia ,pollo , agnello) molto molto bene fatto , poi un eccellente maialino da latte e patate , per me fantastico senza aglio e spezie varie . Per ultimo una lombata bene cotta e molto gustosa . Buoni i dolci

30/12/2025: The restaurant, near Piazza del Duomo, consists of a two-story restaurant (the first floor seemed to be connected only by a staircase) and a shop selling fresh flowers and small furnishings (I noticed mostly items resembling modern antiques, inspired by the 1950s and 1960s). The coexistence is subtle and elegant: it doesn't clash at all; the decor helps. The staff is quick, attentive, and kind. The dishes we ordered were of excellent quality and beautifully presented.
29/12/2025: A Florentine gem for a Frenchman! La Ménagère is a unique spot in Florence, blending flowers, refined decor, and fine dining. The setting under the vaulted ceilings is sublime, especially with the magnificent Christmas decorations. As for the food, everything was excellent, from the perfectly executed risotto to the signature tiramisu with its dragonfly motif. But the special mention goes to the bread: as a French person, what a joy to finally find bread with flavor and salt! It's the only restaurant during our entire stay in Florence where the bread was delicious and of high quality (a welcome change from the traditional Florentine bread without salt). A detail that makes all the difference. A must-try! Remember to book your table ;)
