09/07/2025: What a heavenly place we found.
There were four of us, two couples, at a table set under a huge, well-tended wisteria.
Yes, we saw a few spiders, but what does that matter if just a few meters from the table you can see a roe deer walking peacefully towards a lake? A fairytale scene. The beauty of the countryside!
Perfect weather, the cool air every Florentine seeks.
The road is long, but there's no need to rush to get there; enjoying the beauty of the green, well-tended fields along the way will allow you to enjoy the meal even more.
The kindness of Stefano, the owner, perfectly complements everything: chatter and smiles, and he's always available to recommend the right wine.
What did we eat?
Mixed Tuscan antipasto, with top-quality cured meats, mixed crostini, and incredible coccoli, fried but incredibly light.
Mushroom gnocchi and tagliolini with truffle (wonderful), Pici with ragù, tagliatelle with wild boar... and then more wild boar stew. Everything, EVERYTHING DELICIOUS, not a single crumb was returned.
Strawberry panna cotta and zuppa inglese (tart) were 10!
All presented with precision, delicacy, and charm.
Normal prices; in any Florentine restaurant for half the price and poor quality, we would have paid double!
The interior is fabulous; we can't wait to return this winter, although we'll definitely be back in the summer.
Thanks again to Stefano and his staff for this wonderful evening. We had a wonderful time.
