Ristorante La Cascinetta In Gignese

I've been there once and it was good, but there's no lake view. I've been back twice and it's always closed. There's no word on when it will reopen.

I often go to the Cascinetta restaurant and always find very polite and helpful staff, the food is excellent, each dish has a particular care and the ingredients are carefully chosen. The desserts are excellent and unique. I recommend it to those who have good taste in food and who prefer quality to the usual place in the search for savings. It is definitely worth trying and those who understand good taste will understand.

I had the opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant a couple of years ago and had a wonderful time: excellent food, excellent service, everything perfect. I wanted to return today, so I called and was very kindly told they would keep the kitchen open for me. Unfortunately, I had a setback and wasn't able to make it. They tried calling me, but when they couldn't get through, they also sent me a WhatsApp message to kindly let me know the kitchen was on hold for me. The service is excellent: courtesy and respect for the customer are clearly core values ​​for them. The cuisine is truly top-quality. Highly recommended.

Let's be honest... the place is charming and definitely perfect for a Sunday lunch in the fall! The fireplace is lit and the atmosphere is lovely. However, the food could be better. The house-made deli food lacks any particular flair, with rather "cheap" and poorly presented cold cuts. The risottos are good... the one with upper cheese and leek is very good, while the one with Castelmagno could have been a little better! Desserts are good, although the crème brûlée served warm would have been more appealing. Last note: the price! In my opinion, it's disproportionate for what you receive, and the €4 per person cover charge is really worth considering, despite the two-tone welcome aperitif that might justify it. In short: if you're in the area, why not! But if you have to plan a special trip to go... definitely not!
