This is the most delicious restaurant I've eaten at in Ischia. The grilled seafood here is top-notch. This kind of restaurant is suitable for diners with high taste requirements. Ordinary diners may not understand its cooking skills.

We had lunch at this restaurant after visiting the Nitrodi springs. The owner is a professional and friendly person. We ate some truly delicious, mostly homemade dishes. The owner explained that everything we ate was from their own garden, except for the fish, of course. Surrounded by greenery, the restaurant has a covered terrace with a breathtaking view—not to be missed.

Friendly and welcoming.
We didn't need to book for lunch (September 8, 2025). There were plenty of seats, some of which were empty.
Indoor or outdoor seating—your choice.
The mixed antipasto of cured meats and cheeses was excellent, especially the cheeses.
There were also broad beans cooked in vinegar and pickled eggplant.
The linguine with mussels and clams was very good and delicate. Not salty and generous for one.
The fried mixed seafood, although in adequate quantities, wasn't particularly appealing to me due to an aftertaste from the fish that we couldn't identify.
The owner said it was the typical smell of sea bream.
Still, it's recommended because overall it's worth it and the location is lovely.

A very nice place surrounded by greenery and in a quiet part of Ischia. The staff is very kind, helpful, and attentive, but the dinner didn't meet expectations. The ingredients are high-quality, but in my opinion, they aren't cooked to perfection and lose their flavor.

Cantina di Nitrodi is a true journey into the culinary traditions of the island of Ischia. The owners have inherited their parents' legacy and preserved, with great passion, a very important heritage of traditions. I highly recommend this trattoria, also for its authentic atmosphere that takes you back in time, perfectly evoking our past.

Characterful atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Mario is always smiling and ready to satisfy any request. Divine food, rabbit cooked according to a traditional ancient recipe. We'll definitely be back.
