Very good food, recommended restaurant

Il locale lo conosco ancora dalla vecchia location almeno 20 anni fa. Era conosciuto per l'ottimo pesce a prezzi onesti, e ricordavo un risotto di mare straordinario e atipico. Tornato a Volano per altri motivi ho chiesto se il locale esisteva ancora. Mi hanno detto di sì ma è gestito da due persone che fanno tutto, la qualità è la stessa di allora, anche se per via del servizio minimal occorre una buona dose di pazienza. Abbiamo deciso di provare. Il cartello all'ingresso fa temere di finire davvero in una baracca, ma dentro è rustico, accogliente e carico di storia. Ci hanno accolto nonostante la mancata prenotazione. È cominciata l'attesa .. lunga ma non inaspettata ci siamo consolati con i grissini. Ho chiesto il menu la risposta è stata 'il menu sono io' 🙂 peccato che questo non permetta di vedere i prezzi peraltro onesti. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto caldo con cozze e vongole ... lupini per la precisione. Un piatto che amiamo, niente pomodoro a coprire lo straordinario gusto da mare. Nella loro apparente semplicità strepitosi! Apprezzo anche il fatto che abbiano servito lupini freschi nostrani piuttosto che vongole veraci (care e introvabili causa granchio blu) ma che non ho rimpianto minimamente. Poi (memore dei ricordi) ho ordinato due risotti, quello di mare e quello all'anguilla. Entrambi oltre ogni aspettativa, quello all'anguilla in particolare il trionfo della delicatezza e veramente ci senti il mare dentro. Insomma l'esperienza vale ampiamente la pazienza.

Excellent very fresh fish.... of excellent quality and cooked very well, friendly, fast despite being alone and good price... the place is from another time, a blast from the past. You eat what is caught and it goes more than well... congratulations on the Catalan fish and the octopus as a starter... stratospheric 👍

Fantastic food, the gentleman who served us was really nice, he managed to make the wait (the place was really packed) absolutely pleasant, and it's not an easy task. Local fish, local products and spectacular house wine, absolutely average price for the area. I'll be back.

Characteristic restaurant built inside a deconsecrated church. The restaurant is located in the lagoon, surrounded by water. There is no menu, the restaurant is run by 1 person who takes care of everything. Slow service. Unfortunately the food is poor.

We had dinner at this restaurant with a group of friends and ate the best grilled eel of the weekend. Equally good is the Catalan made with peppers, onions and tomatoes, but the tagliolini au lupini is less good, the mar armi are also very good and the cuttlefish as an appetizer literally melted in your mouth. All washed down with a bottle of white wine for the sum of €40 each. The environment is particular, it is a deconsecrated church, the interior is a mix of things from various origins which also make it fascinating. Service a little slow but after all there is one waiter for the whole Sara and therefore he certainly did his best, we ate well and will return.

Excellent fresh fish menu at competitive prices. Good service and they are in no rush to close as often happens these days.

Typical place in the middle of the valleys, where you can admire local wildlife species. When you enter the restaurant you feel like you're stepping into the past, highlighting the valley life of the past. The dishes are classic, plentiful, the fish is fresh and of high quality, the service is impeccable. I recommend it.

Characteristic environment, I would dare say folkloristic, very pleasant. Friendly and kind welcome from the owner Cesare, who offers a punctual, attentive and sensitive service. Excellent cuisine, and the wines were also remarkable (which Marianna always appreciated 😜). Must try

Locale caratteristico, qualità ottima. Prodotti freschi ambiente informale. Un salto di qualità rispetto a molti altri locali più blasonati. Bravi
