Excellent experience. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We requested something off the menu in advance, and they fulfilled our request excellently. The setting is breathtaking, very evocative, it feels like a trip to India. Highly recommended.

For our first dinner in Bologna, we chose this restaurant, which was highly recommended on social media. They served naan (typical bread) as an appetizer with two delicious dips! We then opted for the Chicken Menu (for two): Fried chicken wings, paneer nan, nan, mixed tikka, jeera rice, murg makhani, tarka dall, navaratan korma, and for dessert, a tasty rice pudding and a Masala Chai tea. Finally, AJ, the manager, offered us a delicious cardamom liqueur. I recommend arriving really hungry, as the portions were generous! The staff were truly friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back to try other new specialties ✨

It was my first experience at an Indian restaurant, but the food was truly excellent. The place is quaint, with meticulous attention to detail. The waiters are truly attentive and kind. I recommend stopping to see the items for sale at the entrance, like incense.

08/12/2025: Absolute great Indian restaurant with very friendly staff 👍
07/12/2025: We tried several dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. We asked for something off the menu (Goan chicken - chicken in coconut milk sauce) and they accommodated us. We paid about 40 euros each and had a pleasant evening. I should say that if we ordered half the food, we would have still been full and satisfied; we got carried away with the deliciousness of the specialties. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Try it!

Taj Mahal Take Away and Fast Food

16/12/2025: I've been going to India for almost 30 years, so I know its cuisine well, which I love. This tiny restaurant offers the best and most authentic Indian food in Bologna, with very fair prices and generous portions. Truly exceptional.
28/11/2025: Writing as an Indian: it's a takeaway place where you can find satisfying North Indian food (much better than some restaurants in the area). Obviously, the taste is adequate for an Italian-European clientele, but the food here is good. I would also recommend trying the kebab and lentil and meat dishes, especially the palak chicken (chicken in a spinach base with typical North Indian spices).
