Welcomed with professionalism and courtesy by the managers, who make you feel at "home" The dishes we tasted were excellent, starting with the amuse bouche and then: the guinea fowl in saor and the fassona jelly, the tagliolini with crispy ham and mint, the stuffed hen with its sauces and finally the semifreddo.

Typical Novara cuisine of quality, friendliness, welcoming environment. Among the three best restaurants in the area.

We were there for my dad's birthday, and it was the first time but we will definitely be back, very nice and intimate place, the owner and the staff are very kind, helpful and never intrusive, the food is excellent and plentiful. A beautiful discovery and I recommend it!

Réservation obligatoire. Superbe restaurant gastronomique où nous sommes accueilli par Manuella, sœur de la cheffe Paola. Un apéritif de bienvenue nous est servi, accompagné d’une mise en bouche du jour, pendant que l’on choisit les plats. Les spaghettis aux oignons, la friture novarese ou le tartare de bœuf ou encore les tortelloni à la viande, lapin désossé en vinaigrette, que de délicieux mets préparés avec professionnalisme par Paola. Les vins sont proposés avec soins par son mari. Et tout ça dans un cadre chaleureux et décoré avec goût. Nous y sommes allés quelques fois et nous y retournerons.

Everything was great but the bill was wrong. Paid for a dessert and a bottle of water that were not ordered. The mistake can happen, but two on the same receipt.... Unfortunately we noticed it at home...

A spectacular place in Sizzano, typical Piedmontese cuisine done really well. The Russian salad as a welcome is amazing, then the rest is a crescendo. Highly recommended

Categoria: Ristorante Italiano Trovato per: Guida Slow Food (@) Situato in uno paesino della provincia novarese, dall’esterno ha un’aspetto d’altri tempi: l’insegna recita “Caffè Ristorante Impero”. All’interno è estremamente curato, elegante e dall’atmosfera calda e accogliente. Abbiamo preso un tris di antipasti scelto dalla cucina, che probabilmente variano a seconda della disponibilità: a noi sono capitati robiola agli aromi (ottima qualità), sformato di melanzane (un po’ troppo dolce), tonno di coniglio (eccellente). La tartare di manzo era battuta un po’ troppo fina, il manzo all’olio con purè di patate era ottimo per quanto riguarda le materie prime ma un pochino troppo asciutto. Ottima carta dei vini con ampia scelta, con focus sul Piemonte e in particolare sulla limitrofa zona vinicola di Gattinara e del fiume Sesia, e ricarichi onesti. Servizio cordiale, conto appropriato. Ci ero già stato anni fa, anche questa volta mi ha soddisfatto e quando capiterà ci tornerò volentieri.
