We discovered Il Ricettario while exploring Florence, and it was such a lovely experience. The restaurant is located right in the city center, but on a very quiet street, which makes it feel like a hidden gem. Inside, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming – the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. We ordered their homemade pastas: spaghetti carbonara and stracci with tomato sauce and basil. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, full of fresh flavor and perfectly cooked. My only regret is that we didn’t have enough time to come back a second time during our stay in Florence! Overall, a warm and inviting place with fantastic food – highly recommended if you want a genuine Italian dining experience.

Delicious pasta! I didn't even have time to take a picture because it was so appetizing, we devoured it immediately. The pasta is handmade, the dishes are fresh, and the service is very friendly. I definitely recommend it!

This is my fifth day of traveling in Italy. Even when I'm not traveling, I often grate Parmesan cheese at home and mix it with egg yolks. I've eaten at three places in Rome and two in Florence, and the pasta here was the best. This is the only restaurant where I've ever finished a plate. We ordered lasagna, seafood pasta, and eggplant. This is the restaurant where two children and two adults enjoyed their meal the most. If you have trouble with undercooked noodles, try the lasagna here. You can enjoy it al dente without worrying about it being too salty. The seafood pasta is oily, but it's clean and delicious. I'll be back tomorrow. ---- Additional. We came back the next day. We had seafood pasta, lasagna, aglio olio, and a burrata cheese and tomato salad. We ordered two glasses of house red wine, and they gave us a chance to taste both. My wife chose Chianti, and I chose Montalcino. The food was equally delicious. But I'd still recommend the seafood pasta over the aglio olio. My family of four loved the seafood pasta and lasagna.

The lasagna (16 euros) was delicious, just as the reviews said! The steak (24 euros) wasn't anything special, but it was good enough for a two-person visit. I had the lasagna and steak alone, and it was incredibly filling. The portions were more than enough for two people to comfortably fill up. There's seating inside, as well as outside, but the outside seating area, where I sat, had a typical restaurant feel (though the inside seemed quite nice). I happened to walk in, and the place was busy, so the manager didn't seem to pay much attention. However, they did their best to serve and manage the wait, so I figured it was just because they were busy. Just give the manager a glance or a hand gesture, and he'll explain the wait and seat arrangements. (There was absolutely no racism or disrespect, so don't misunderstand. It's really busy, so expect it to take about 20 minutes for your order to arrive!) All in all, it's a great place to have a casual meal after visiting the Ponte Vecchio or the Uffizi!

A restaurant worth recommending. Delicious dishes. We loved everything we ordered: lasagna, carbonara, chicken with roasted potatoes, stuffed pasta from Mugello, and burrata with tomatoes. The service was very friendly. You have to go in and try it 😊

I often go here to taste a good pasta. It is in the city center and you are able to get a table easily. The wine is good, you may choose one after tasting two different types. They offer some bread with olive oil before your dish arrives, it is a good solution if you are very hungry.

¡Qué puedo decir! Este es un pequeño restaurante genial. Un ejemplo perfecto de lo bien cocinados que siempre son los ingredientes. Esta fue nuestra última comida después de una lluvia de 3 días en Florencia. Nos habíamos alejado del río debido a la amenaza de inundaciones y casi caminamos. Nos gustó el exterior limpio simple y decidimos entrar. El servicio es excelente y creo que cualquier cosa que elija comer estaría preparado con un nivel muy alto. Nuestra comida era excelente. La decoración es limpia y sencilla ilustrando que el foco está en la comida no amueblada. La relación calidad-precio es excelente. Me alegro de que estaba lloviendo o probablemente pasaríamos más en un café de la calle y definitivamente tuvimos una comida más pobre.
