An authentic place with very good food

Vintage atmospheres in a place that presents itself at the entrance with an area dedicated to pastry making and similar, which the owner explains was the initial vocation of the business; a little further on, in a separate room, there is the actual restaurant area. The owner worked hard to manage the room and I appreciated his commitment and courtesy: what was brought to the table was all very good, with traditional preparations and balanced in the creation. Leave some space for desserts too, since they are the pride and history of those who manage the business. There is also no shortage of fusion or revisited cuisine options in Benevento, but I would like to point out this restaurant as "the place" to go to without fail if you prefer to remain in the tradition and with a slightly old-fashioned taste for doing things. . I, personally, really appreciated this type of cuisine and service.

Lavorando a Benevento il periodo natalizio ci siamo ritrovati il giorno di Natale in questo ristorante fortunatamente aperto. Siamo stati accolti dal proprietario persona gentile che ci ha messo subito a nostro agio. Abbiamo mangiato un raviolo ripieno di ricotta con sugo di porcini e tartufo, per secondo brasato all'aglianico con patate al forno e trionfo di carne al ragù con contorno di broccoli di natale, per dolce fetta di torta ai tre cioccolati e dolcetto allo strega. Abbiamo trascorso un paio d ore in un posto ospitale per poi continuare la nostra giornata di lavoro..

Hospitality, kindness and helpfulness are the first three words that come to mind to describe this restaurant located in Benevento. Service and cover charge are free, which is now rare. There are several courses on the menu, but not too many to confuse things. For New Year's Eve lunch, without a fixed menu, we took a platter of cured meats and cheeses, a plate of fettuccine with sausage, cheese and courgettes, a plate of ravioli with truffles and porcini mushrooms and some Marche-style rolls. Honest prices, in relation to the quality of the products. Absolutely recommended.

After visiting the splendid Roman theater we had lunch at "Posto". What to say! We were welcomed with great cordiality by the owner, a delightful person, who recommended tasty dishes such as ricotta gnocchi, fettuccine with courgettes and walnuts, braised meat and the magnificent desserts. A place where flavour, kindness and simplicity make you feel good and make you want to come back. Hopefully soon!

We came for Christmas lunch, we couldn't find an available table anywhere then I called here, the place isn't 5 star but we ate very well, the gentleman who welcomed us was easy going, friendly and made us feel At home. We had a great time, it's a shame we couldn't try the desserts, we had to run away because my daughter had a fever. However highly recommended.
