I visited the place on a weekday in September, it was moderately busy. Great food, service was okay, but the 3 euros for bread and water surprised me on the bill.

Everything was delicious and high-quality, and the price was right if you're looking to satiate your craving for fish. The staff was kind and courteous.
Add to this the charming view of the harbor at night.
If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back.
I returned again six years later, this time on a Monday lunchtime in late August. Same management.
I can confirm the overall positive experience.
Personally, I recommend trying the Caciucco, one of Livorno's typical dishes that I really enjoyed at this restaurant.

Last week I went to dinner at this restaurant with a friend. The staff was very kind and helpful; they even found us a table without a reservation. The service was very fast, and the view from the dining room overlooking the coast was beautiful. I had an excellent tuna steak that melted in my mouth, while my friend had spaghetti with clams, and she was also very satisfied.

Enchanting sea views, a unique atmosphere, and authentic flavors: Il Porticciolo restaurant is a true landmark, historic, and always up to expectations.
I enjoyed a warm seafood salad made with the freshest fish and simply delicious spaghetti with clams. All this was accompanied by courteous and attentive service, and at an absolutely fair price.
The setting is charming, decorated in a vintage nautical style, reminiscent of the interior of a ship: quaint and welcoming, perfect for lunch or dinner with a view.
I will definitely return and recommend it to everyone!
