Upon entering, the welcome is immediately warm and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, it shows! There's a real family atmosphere, you can feel it! The menu is cleverly concise, focusing on fresh ingredients. Tuna carpaccio with artichokes, langoustine with a lovely tartare-like sauce, grilled or sautéed sea bass cooked to perfection. For the wine selection, a very good Vermentino from Alghero, crisp, vibrant, and a pleasant surprise. We had a wonderful time and would love to return tomorrow. Bravo!

In May, my wife and I spent a few wonderful days in Alghero, and we visited the "Ristorante di Pesce Il Pavone" twice – and for good reason: The family-run restaurant is just a few minutes from the city center, easily accessible either on foot from the harbor or directly by car with parking on site. Upon entry, we were warmly welcomed by the owner himself and given equally competent advice. What was particularly nice was that he later returned to each table to personally check on each guest's well-being – this hospitality and warm socializing are truly exceptional. His daughter also works in the business, which further underlines the authentic, family-like atmosphere. Their passion for what they do is palpable and permeates the entire experience. The service was always friendly, attentive, and courteous – we never had to wait long. The restaurant impresses with its cozy, clean, and tidy ambiance. The menu is clear and offers a high-quality selection without seeming overly opulent. We particularly enjoyed the grandmother's traditional dish, which has always been on the menu – a beautiful piece of culinary family history! The wine list is wonderfully matched to the fish dishes. We were delighted with every single dish: fresh antipasti, homemade pasta, market-fresh fish, and sophisticated desserts – all a true taste experience and definitely not frozen. Whether inside or outside – there is plenty of comfortable seating, perfect for couples and smaller groups. Reservations are recommended, especially in the evenings. The prices are high, but absolutely reasonable given the quality; the value for money is excellent. For us, "Il Pavone" was one of the highlights of our stay – a wonderful memory that we will certainly look back on fondly. Highly recommended – we will definitely be back!

Simply perfect: impeccable service, excellent food, a very pleasant and well-decorated venue. Highly recommended. High-quality seafood, exclusively featuring the catch of the day. Top.

The owner is incredibly friendly and makes a personal connection at the table. He even came by with a homemade spread for bread, and when we asked what some of our guests had (apparently) ordered off the menu, we were given a small plate of it too. He has truly creative local dishes, not the same as everyone else, and all at a very fair price! He's been there for 46 years and was one of the few people busy on a Tuesday at the end of the season. Definitely go; his dishes have a story!
