Ristorante il Paiolo In Firenze

TOTALLY EXQUISITE DINNER ! My wife and I arrived in Florence by Bullet Train from Rome on Sunday, March 23rd. A well appointed king suite on the 5th floor of the luxurious Hotel Berchielli would be HOME for the next 4 days. Hard to beat that view of the picturesque River Arno ! Arriving back at the hotel after lunch at a cafe across the bridge I happened to ask the reception staff for a recommendation for dinner that night...il Paiolo was the response I heard one of them say. We headed out to grab some craft beer and stopped by il Paiolo to have a look inside....very nice, our kind of intimate Italian restaurant. A very sweet server named Nina suggested we make a reservation if we planned on dropping in for dinner that evening...so 6pm it was.

Upon entering, we were escorted to one of the most inviting tables in the restaurant!😍 The atmosphere was very cozy! The service was very fast and friendly. The staff were excellent at advising us on which wine would pair best with which dish. We were also given the opportunity to sample the wine beforehand. The food was also delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We received excellent service. We chose meatless dishes, and they were delicious. I recommend the artichoke. Fantastic!

Our server, Michele, was wonderful! The restaurant was full, and he was friendly and attentive. All of the staff were lovely.

We've been there on sept 17 2025. Overall, we were not impressed because:1 = Apart from the meat that was good, we ordered oven potatoes that were ok but nothing special and rissoto that was below average.2 = It was a " cantina" atmosfere, designed to get as much money in the time frame available 3= the waiter regarded us with superiority and asked INTRUSIVE and innapropiate questions 4= We had to take anti acidity medication late at night as an indication that the food was a not correctly prepared. Overall, it was NOT an experience worth 150 EUROs.

Food quality bistecca and pasta with great friendly service

We just happened to be passing by and popped in for a try. The food didn't disappoint at all! The waiters were also very friendly and attentive to our needs. This time we ordered an appetizer, a T-bone steak for one, and a mushroom pasta. It was very filling for two people. Highly recommended!

The T-bone steak, pasta, and wine were absolutely delicious!! Michele was so friendly and cheerful, and I had a great time the whole time I was eating! I recommend getting the T-bone steak medium.
