Ristorante IL NIDO In Massa lubrense

The building is dated but well-kept and clean. The rooms are comfortable, although those with a sea view are brighter. The hotel offers free parking and a shuttle service to Sorrento, a town that unfortunately doesn't offer free parking to tourists, but rather pays for €2 per hour. The staff is friendly, and the hotel offers beautiful views. There's a bar, and the breakfast is plentiful and varied. I highly recommend it, especially considering the reasonable price for the area and the high season.

I didn't stay at the hotel, this is just a review for the restaurant. We sat on the patio for a late sunset dinner. The views are incredible, overlooking Sorrento and Vesuvius. The owner and other staff were extremely friendly. Food prices were reasonable and coperto was low for the area at 1.5€/person. They brought out bread and bruschetta before our meal which was appreciated. My issue is with the food we ordered. I had the mussel/clam pasta while my girlfriend has the gluten-free ravioli and then we shared the hunter-style chicken. I can't say that we enjoyed any of these dishes. The portions were sufficient but the quality of the ingredients tasted subpar and this ruined the overall experience. May have been the least enjoyable food I've had during my 2 weeks in Italy. Disappointing, because they've gotten everything else right.

The scenery is first-rate, the decoration is quite old but very clean, the owner is very friendly, enthusiastic and generous. The food is also very good. If you are too lazy to go out for dinner, it is a good choice to eat directly in the hotel and the price is reasonable.

Incredible hospitality during our stay at Il Nido. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every detail—from the warm greetings to the immaculate rooms, delicious meals, thoughtful service and local tour they arranged —made throughout our stay. Excellent welcome and family atmosphere. The location is strategic: perfect for visiting Sorrento and ideal as a base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. The restaurant, simple but well-kept, offers quality dishes that enhance the local tradition. Recommended for those seeking comfort, tranquility and authenticity.

This is an awesome place to stay. Not too expensive and beautiful view.
