We had a fantastic evening at Il Granaio. We were incredibly lucky (without a reservation - I recommend to book a table) to get the last available table — which ended up giving us the best night of our entire trip to Italy. The food was excellent and of very high quality. What truly made the evening special were the amazing and friendly waiters. They fulfilled all our wishes and gave us outstanding wine recommendations. The "Ferrari of red wines" (as Salvatore called it) was one of the best wines I’ve ever tasted. The waiters created a wonderful atmosphere with singing along to the Italian music — it added so much joy to the experience. After dinner, we even received some great tips and recommendations for Florence. Huge thanks to Salvatore, Claudio, and Claid (sorry if I misspelled your names) for an unforgettable evening! Unfortunately, we only discovered this place on our last night in Florence — otherwise, we would’ve come back several times. We’re already looking forward to dining here again on our next visit to Florence.

I went to dinner last night with my family, along with our chocolate Labrador 🍫...we were out... A small place, but with attention to detail, dishes like squares, generous portions made with quality ingredients... We were served by Salvatore, a very professional waiter: attentive, present but not intrusive, very knowledgeable, he served water to our big puppy, which is not a given because many people don't even notice if you have a pet... with his English. Calabrian, he made the difference, also bringing so much joy and calm during dinner that he stayed a little longer than "running away immediately". The quality/price ratio was worth it for us... I highly recommend it...

Wauw. The first word that pops into my head after dinner here. The pasta with wild boar ragout is a must try. And the ham and buratta starter is perfect for sharing. I was by myself so unfortunately I had to skip the Florentian steak - simply to much food for one person but other patrons had it - and it looks amazing. So if you are a group/family go for it. And for dessert try the Zoccotta. Amazing and also good for sharing. Il Granaio is absolutely worth a visit but do not be in a hurry. As a solo diner I say this as a good thing. Usually I can finish a dinner like this in an hour but here service is paced so even I had to spend 2 relaxed hours in the amazing atmosphere and not feel like I just arrived before I had to leave again.

Delicious dinners and wonderful service. The pistachio crusted lamb chop was fabulous, as was my fellow diner’s Osso bucco. Charming and authentic spot. We chose an expensive wine, which increased the total bill, but worth it.

Ristorante a due passi da piazza della signoria. Trovato per caso tramite l’app TheFork che mi ha concesso uno sconto del 30%. Servizio molto buono di Salvatore. Abbiamo mangiato dei crostini al pomodoro e al fegato e due primi. Con un calice di vino abbiamo speso 53 euro. Bene

27/05/2025 just had the most amazing dinner here. The restaurant is small which helps add the authenticity to the place. There were Italians eating there, which shows you how genuine the place is. My family and I really enjoyed the food, which was delicious. I really wish we could have eaten everything on the menu. Salvatore and his team were charming and welcoming. Which made the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a must if you are in Florence.
