Il Cervo is a restaurant immersed in the nature of the Majella Park, ideal for those looking for authentic Abruzzo cuisine and game. The environment is rustic and welcoming, with a view of the Orfento Valley. Strong dishes such as white truffle ravioli and tagliatelle with chocolate and venison sauce. The venison stew stands out for its taste and quality. The local appetizers are also excellent. The chef who shows love and passion for cooking from his eyes. The chef's daughter, Cristina who delighted us with her special dish with pecorino foam and beetroot juice. Excellent contrasts of flavor and color, worthy of a chef and a designer. Friendly and helpful service. The chef's wife in the dining room closes the circle of excellent service. A must-see for those who love cuisine, welcoming places and kind people.

I can only give 5 stars to this activity, for the welcome, the splendid place and the excellent food. We arrived well after lunch time after a 4 and a half hour trek, super hungry and with the girls very tired. We didn't expect to find such a welcome and we were pleasantly surprised by the goodness of the food: top quality ingredients cooked divinely. The starter was sensational and the grilled lamb mouth-watering. The courteous and friendly staff set the table for us outside for a wonderful lunch with a view of the snow-capped Majella. If I could I would give six stars :) we will be back!

Excellent food all locally sourced and prepared. Service was great and the suounding views amazing. We'll worth the walk up the mountain or the drive. Arrived at 1.00 it was full by 1.15 so you do need to book

We walked to Decontra and treated ourselves to the best lunch ever! Beautiful food, wonderful atmosphere with a cosy fire and friendly, expert service. We will be back. Worth every euro! Thank you!

Small but very welcoming and well-kept place in the small edge of Decontra. The service was excellent, simple and friendly. We opted for a venison appetizer: cutting board and mix of 3 hot appetizers; all very good... too bad we didn't find the cheese and egg paddles among the hot appetizers, I was left curious!! Next we had the ricotta-filled ravioli with white venison sauce: Very good! And some venison pappardelle, good but not exceptional! We chose the second one from the off-menu and we liked it. To finish, a good tiramisu. The portions and raw materials are excellent, as are the bill and the house wine. Recommended!!

An unforgettable evening! We went to the "Il Cervo" restaurant for the "Panarda" and I can say that it was an impeccable experience from every point of view. The location is enchanting, with attention to the smallest details and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfectly immersed in the beauty of the landscape. The cuisine was an authentic celebration of the flavors of Abruzzo tradition, brought to levels of absolute excellence. Each dish was not simply "good", but a real explosion of flavors that exceeded all expectations. The traditional recipes accompanied us on an unforgettable sensorial journey, where each ingredient was enhanced to perfection. From the appetizers to the first courses, from the second courses to the sweet pizza, everything gave us a unique gastronomic experience. Special thanks go to the owners, Marianna and Luigi, who with their warm and genuine hospitality made our evening even more pleasant. It's clear that they put their heart into everything they do, and their dedication is reflected not only in the cuisine, but in every detail of the experience. "Il Cervo" is not just a restaurant: it is a place where the Abruzzo culinary tradition finds its highest expression. I can't wait to return!
