Very nice place and very friendly staff. Excellent service. Fantastic appetizers with locally produced cured meats and cheeses. Among the first courses, try the Garfagnana "lingue" (pasta-shaped pasta) with wild fennel pesto. The fresh blueberries with ice cream are also excellent. Definitely worth a try!

A wonderful little restaurant! The staff were very kind and helpful (also helping us practice our Italian) and the food was absolutely delicious. There was no vegetarian main dish, but we were quite satisfied with a primo piatto and a coffee.

Great meal, patient service (he was very busy and handled it all with aplomb)- not a single dish was less than great. The chicken was especially good. We sat outside, it was nice. I’d say go for the food, take a walk through the old city, the ambience is perfectly pleasant.

Small family-run restaurant in the center of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. Good food and friendly staff. Recommended appetizer and risotto with pigeon (pictured), but also macaroni with lard.

20/08/2025: I would like to share with you my experience in this wonderful, airy, clean place with kind and very professional staff. I ordered an Ugo to accompany the aperitif meal which is always very rich and varied. What a surprise!
30/07/2025: We had breakfast there before our usual trip to the Forte market 😄. Delicious desserts (perfectly buttery croissants, superb muffins) and all the savory items looked delicious too. Highly recommended!!

02/08/2025: One of the best pizzas in Lucca
21/07/2025: Loved this rustic Italian restaurant. Outside was full of what looked like all locals. We rocked up about 9pm and the happily organised a table outside for 7 of us. Pizzas by the half dozen were being collected freshly made in the huge pizza oven. They all looked thin based and delicious and I knew what I was having before I sat down. Francesco our waiter was lovely and efficient. We had a selection of pizzas, pork shank and a pasta arrabiata. All delicious and great value… a special treat was the local dessert (ice cream with rum and chocolate)…. OMG!!
