Ristorante I Granduchi In Montecatini-terme

Our experience at the Gran Hotel Croce di Malta in Montecatini Terme was overall positive 👍🏻, although there were a few things we didn't like 🤔. First of all, I'd like to mention the lack of a kettle 🫖 with various complimentary herbal teas in the room, a convenience that's now ubiquitous in any hotel regardless of category (even hostels always have one). It may seem like a trivial matter, but it's nice, after a day of sightseeing, to relax with a nice chamomile tea 🍵 at the end of the evening. The breakfast selection the next morning wasn't bad, except that the chocolate dispenser wasn't working; the situation didn't change one bit even after the intervention of a polite waitress 👩🏻‍🦱, as the device continued to dispense cloudy water mixed with dust. In the end, I gave up on the idea and opted for some orange juice 🍊. As for parking 🅿️, it's limited to the available spaces along the street the property faces, and in any case, it's paid (we actually left our vehicle 🚘 in the first spot next to the main entrance). The rates, however, are interesting, given that we spent a total of €113.65 💶 for a double room (no. 802, booked and paid by card 💳 directly on Booking), plus an additional €6 for the tourist tax and €5 for parking 🅿️ (paid on site). The staff were friendly, from the receptionist to the maids and the room cleaners. The location is excellent, right off the main pedestrian street 🚶🏻🚶🏻‍♀️ in the city center. The property's furnishings are also pleasant 🏨, featuring a sober and elegant style (the contemporary artwork in the guest lounge and on the outdoor terrace is beautiful). A good base for exploring the center of magnificent Montecatini Terme. RECOMMENDED 👍🏻. Excellent staff and location! Constant thefts from cars spoil the atmosphere of the stay! Omelette from powder and scrambled eggs for 6-10€ to order are surprising in a premium class hotel! Only excellent staff saves the hotel from oblivion.... Sad

There is a small park at the back that is suitable for jogging and walking. It is a very quiet place, making it very comfortable to rest during the journey. It is a great experience to stay in a century-old historic hotel.

Magnificent grand hotel. I've been here several times. Spacious rooms with minimal furnishings but wonderfully comfortable. Exceptional staff, helpful, courteous, and immensely kind. The spa and its services are excellent. Special thanks to Silvia and Erica, and of course, thanks to all the staff at Croce di Malta. Thank you so much, always impeccable.

Accommodations were very nice. Your staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located within waling distance of other restaurants and shops. Streets are well-lit and street lights allow for safe crossing. Breakfast was wonderful and had something for any palate We had a lovely, though short, stay.

A very beautiful, well-maintained, and high-end environment; I had the pleasure of being there for a conference. The conference room was very spacious and well-organized, and the coffee breaks were plentiful and well-organized. The reception staff were very helpful, knowledgeable, and ready to resolve any issues that might arise during the conferences. I found the lunch a bit disappointing, and let me explain: the dishes were appropriate for the event, but the quality of the products was a bit less so. I found the table setting lacking attention, cutlery not properly cleaned, glasses with lipstick stains, and, most unpleasantly, they served us the first course with a dirty rim—not from the sauce from the course, but from old, dried-on grime. Another thing: in a 4-star hotel, wait staff wearing black t-shirts shouldn't be allowed; if anything, a nice shirt with the hotel logo.

Great spot, was underwhelmed by the staff. They were not very helpful nor were they welcoming. The rooms are gorgeous, as is the pool. We spent a whole day at the pool and it was lovely. The spa is not worth it. We did the “Turkish bath” which was nothing like a Turkish bath, and the “warm bath” it was a lukewarm tub. Some of the jets weren’t working either. Very disappointed for the 100 euros we spent there.

There is no free parking closer than about a 15-minute walk, but everyone greatly appreciated the fact that, in honor of Diolaiuti's trip to New York to complete the consolation, already carried out by Chiaramonti and Tonarelli for the recent Neapolitan love vicissitudes, the US flag was displayed at the entrance.
