It's the second time I've been back The simple but very well-kept place is welcoming and spacious The staff always smiling puts you at ease The food is very good I must say that the pizza was exceptional, but also the tuna in crust was very good The only point that I find terrible is the choice to serve 750ml bottles of water at €3, an exorbitant price for a basic commodity like water

Hospitality and friendliness. The girl was very kind and attentive in managing the service at our table this evening. The pizza dough was very good and well rolled out, quality ingredients and plentiful. Cozy and cozy place. Small welcome entrée during the short wait for the pizzas to arrive courtesy of the house.

22/06/2025: I had a great time!!! I ate an appetizer of cold cuts and cheeses, the typical pasta alla Macugnagase and polenta and cheeses... everything was excellent!!!! Fast service and the waitress was very kind... I recommend it!!! P.S. to get there from Pecetto it takes about 20 minutes on foot on a nice cool path with woods on the sides..... Beautiful view of Monte Rosà. Mary
02/06/2025: Just above Macugnaga, in a super panoramic spot on the east face of the Rosa, stands the Scateboden Refuge, a place suitable for those who don't want to commit to a very demanding hike and want to eat excellent local cuisine with a splendid view. On the wonderful terrace we shared a platter of local cold cuts and cheeses, abundant and all extremely high quality, polenta with deer brugit, the dish of the day because it was so good, and pasta alla macugnaghese, inviting on paper but nothing too wow in practice. Desserts also very good and served in enormous portions. The service is very kind, smiling and inclined to joke, we felt very welcomed. The price is average and even fair, in my opinion, given the crazy location. Finally, I absolutely recommend booking.

29/06/2025: First time here. The food and red wine were good. We were just about satisfied. The staff were a bit cold and couldn't even look us in the eye. The food was a bit overpriced for what you get. The restaurant is recommended for those with deep pockets.
21/06/2025: First of all: We really enjoy high-quality food and are willing to pay accordingly. We enjoy cooking our own food and are good at it, and we know how to make risotto. The service was unfriendly. The starter was good, but the portion was small and overpriced. The risotto with shrimp, shrimp tartar with lime/lemon, and lavender sounded great, but was unfortunately inedible, as neither the shrimp nor the tartar were to be found. Instead, the shrimp were obviously pureed in the risotto, and an indefinable jelly was on top. The lemon puffs looked nice, as did the watercress garnish. At least we weren't charged, even if the taste was questionable.
