Traditionelles italienisches Restaurant - geführt von einem älteren Ehepaar. Sehr herzlich und wunderbar feines Essen. Alles wurde von Grund auf und frisch zubereitet.

What can I say about Garibaldi? I would call it a time machine of Lombard cuisine. Where the chef was the Chef with a capital C and not a trendy Chef who chases reviews on social media, a place where YOU EAT and not where you go to take pictures of the dishes, a place where you can spend a nice evening with friends or family. Yes, true, it really seems like a leap of thirty years back in time but this is precisely one of the reasons why I love this restaurant. It still manages to be authentic which, these days, is perhaps the only true yardstick. Come on guys!

Garibaldi is certainty and tradition. The starter is a buffet, the mondeghini, the meatballs, the nervetti and the Russian salad are exceptional. We come often and the menu is updated according to the season, always with traditional dishes. We always have a great time!

We tried this place because they had spoken very well about their cassoela. Expectations were highly met. Generous portions and excellent quality. I will definitely come back to try it again and to try the rest of the menu

04/07/2025: Ordered pizza and gelato. The pizza was not great, perhaps the ingredients were not as fresh as I expected. The gelato was pretty good. The server was attentive, patient and friendly. This might be the only Gelateria in Brunate.
21/06/2025: Wonderful small resteraunt at the top of the funicular up from Como. It's the first one you get to when you get off at the top. Many outside tables, all overlooking the view out over Como. Service is fast and efficient, food very good, pizza's very good, enough to share if you just want a snack or a meal for one if you are more hungry. The funicular is very popular and queues can be long. If possible get tickets from somewhere else then you can just hold up your ticket and go straight to the carriage.

25/08/2025: Panino Buono in Como appears to be an excellent choice for enjoying both delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere. I had the pleasure of watching the Como versus Lazio match there, and the multiple televisions and impressive sound system truly created an immersive experience. The staff's efficiency and friendliness contributed to the lively ambiance, and the food was not only excellent but also provided great value. Its convenient location near the train station makes it an ideal spot for a meal, whether one is interested in watching a game or simply seeking a quality dining experience in Como.
23/08/2025: By choosing a drink from the selection (average €10) and adding €3, you can enjoy an aperitif. The drinks and appetizers were very good, although there weren't many. We sat outside, and the lake view was lovely. The only downside was that we had a Campari (€7), so the aperitif should have cost €10, but we were charged €13. Probably a cashier mistake.
