A hidden gem a little further from the lake/center. Very tasty food, sufficient variety in the menu, friendly and prompt service. Only downside: had already cleared 2 plates when the others were not yet empty (because they had not seen it. Then they waited to clear the rest) We will definitely come back here if we are in the area again!!

Good risotto funghi, my daughter loved the carbonara, osso buco with polenta was good but a little too salty for my taste, but all osso buco I've had is a little too salty for me, so probably just my own preferences and we wish we could eat there in the fall when truffle season is. Good prices👍

A nice, very welcoming place, very kind and friendly staff. ate well, generous portions and spent little. the casoncelli with game ragù are a spectacle. If I happen to be in the area again I will definitely return.....

Il Frate di Monteolimpino confirms itself as an excellent quality restaurant, as already experienced in the past with the family. However, at a recent wedding I attended, the service did not live up to expectations. The waiters appeared a little listless and not very attentive to the needs of the guests. Despite this flaw, the quality of the food remains the real strong point of the place. All courses, from appetizers to dessert, were excellent, prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The chef's attention to detail and mastery could be felt in every bite. Overall, the Frate di Monteolimpino offers a high-level culinary experience, penalized, however, in this case by less than impeccable service. If the priority is the goodness of the food, the restaurant is certainly to be recommended.
