The place is welcoming and the staff are courteous and helpful. I was there bringing my two small children, and everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. Definitely good food. A place we will definitely return to!

If you want to eat Lombard cuisine, this is the right place. Attentive staff. Tables set with tablecloth, stain cover and napkin, something that is becoming rare in today's restaurants.

Lontani dal lungolago ma con ottima cucina ed accoglienza. Trovato per caso ma ritorneremo senza dubbio per cucina cura del cliente e gentilezza.siamo arrivato dopo le 22 e nonostante l'ora ci hanno fatto accomodare ed abbiamo gustato antipasti misti ottimi ,tortelli di magro con sugo di noci gustosissimi ma soprattutto una trippa sublime. Camerieri superprofessionali . Da raccomandare

I had been to the Frate over 10 years ago. I returned because they had told me very well about their cassoeula. I have to admit that it went beyond my expectations. I am an admirer of the dish and I have eaten it in several restaurants in the Como area but I certainly put Frate's on the podium of the best. Cabbage, ribs and rinds cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

On our way to Switzerland we stopped for a quick lunch break. For the location and position too expensive for just first courses and water. More like a trattoria than a restaurant.

29/04/2025: Delicious ice cream. The texture of the sorbet is great. Not watery like other places. The cheesecake ice cream has crunchie cookiebottom pieces and real yoghurt. The mango is made with fresh mango puree and you can taste it!

16/04/2025: Excellent attention from all the staff. They couldn't focus on all the clients. The food was delicious, especially the speck and gorgonzola pizza! The dessert is also spectacular.
27/03/2025: Lovely and friendly staff. Very welcoming. Great Aperol and we were sat at a lovely window with a good view.
