Truly delicious food! During the week (Monday to Friday), they offer a set menu with a main course, a second course, water, wine, and espresso—all at a really fair price. On weekends, you can either choose a set menu or order à la carte. I had fettuccine with porcini mushrooms—super freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! The menu is small but fine. Overall, a friendly place with good food and fair prices. I'll be back!

I had the pleasure of having lunch (on Sunday) at this restaurant in Como and the experience was truly excellent.
I started with a first course with porcini mushrooms, simply delicious, and continued with an osso buco also with porcini mushrooms: the meat was very tender, it melted in your mouth!
What struck me most was the attention to the customer!!!
Highly recommended, even if you are in a hurry, communicate and the staff will do their best for sure!!!!

The place is welcoming and the staff are courteous and helpful. I was there bringing my two small children, and everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. Definitely good food. A place we will definitely return to!

If you want to eat Lombard cuisine, this is the right place. Attentive staff. Tables set with tablecloth, stain cover and napkin, something that is becoming rare in today's restaurants.

Lontani dal lungolago ma con ottima cucina ed accoglienza. Trovato per caso ma ritorneremo senza dubbio per cucina cura del cliente e gentilezza.siamo arrivato dopo le 22 e nonostante l'ora ci hanno fatto accomodare ed abbiamo gustato antipasti misti ottimi ,tortelli di magro con sugo di noci gustosissimi ma soprattutto una trippa sublime.

I had been to the Frate over 10 years ago. I returned because they had told me very well about their cassoeula. I have to admit that it went beyond my expectations. I am an admirer of the dish and I have eaten it in several restaurants in the Como area but I certainly put Frate's on the podium of the best. Cabbage, ribs and rinds cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
