Highly recommended! We've been coming here several times a year for years and are always very satisfied. The food is excellent (especially the pumpkin cream soup, Wiener Schnitzel, tagliata, and tiramisu). The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We always enjoy coming back!

My husband and I were staying at a hotel very close to this restaurant, and we decided to stop for lunch.
I must say I was extremely pleased with the friendliness of the entire staff. We had risotto with radicchio, gorgonzola, and pears, and it was truly fantastic, as was the homemade tiramisu.
We also booked for the following evening, and the owner was truly kind and welcoming, thanking us so much for coming back.
She also introduced us to her mother, a very gracious lady who wished us a Happy New Year.
At the end of the dinner, the owner hugged us and was truly kind in saying goodbye... in short, besides the excellent food, she was also incredibly kind. Highly recommended.

Beautiful plates, but not much to it...
Rigati all'arrabbiata? Anything but arrabbiata, but al dente nonetheless.
The "mixed salad": green salad with sand between your teeth, four fagioli verdi, and canned corn...
The black plate looks classy, but belies the lack of passion in the kitchen.
The large sun terrace lacks cushioned seating; they're probably only available upon request.
Tourists, cyclists, and workers are constantly queuing here, it's just a shame that the food falls by the wayside...
Conclusion: Beautiful place, friendly service, but there's plenty of room for improvement in the culinary department... 🚲🚲🚲 Only 3 out of 5

We spent three days in Burgstall
And three days at the Etschgrund for dinner. The food was excellent all three days. We received a very friendly welcome upon entry. Most restaurants could learn a thing or two from the friendliness of the waitress and the manager.

Luckily, we ended up here while passing through. Great food at a reasonable price. The pasta with fresh chanterelles was just as delicious as the Wiener schnitzel. It came with a very well-mixed salad. And to start, there was even a small greeting from the kitchen. The whole thing was beautifully decorated, too. Something that many other restaurants lack. Very friendly service from the owner, and parking in front of the door. Highly recommended.
