Definitely recommended. The owner is very friendly and warm, and she personally welcomes every guest. The food is fresh and delicious, and the portions are quite generous. The price is more than justified. We'll be back.

Do you know the feeling of coming home from a restaurant in the evening and thinking, "Wow, THAT was delicious today!"? If you like that and you're near Merano, head to the "Etschgrund." It begins with a very warm, personal welcome from the owner, along with the daily specials. Our tip: Trust your hostess! We've eaten here several times (both from the menu and the daily specials) and were always delighted. The Etschgrund isn't a "cheap place," and you can certainly fill up for less at one of the many pizzerias; however, if you're willing or able to spend a few euros more for truly delicious food, you won't regret a cent here.

We received a friendly and courteous welcome. I would almost describe it as a family atmosphere. In addition to the regular menu, there were daily specials on a separate board. To start, there was a small greeting from the kitchen. For main course, we had homemade tagliatelle, one with fresh chanterelle mushrooms and the other with veal ragout. Both were delicious and highly recommended. The portion sizes were generous. This was our first time here, as the restaurant is quite a bit away from our guesthouse. The restaurant has ample parking and is located directly on the connecting road between Lana and Burgstall, although we didn't notice the road at all while eating. The interior is beautifully designed. We will definitely be back. Thumbs up and thank you for your hospitality.

Very good food and good services

I spontaneously dropped by for dinner today. The reception was unfortunately a bit chaotic and impersonal, but I realized this and apologized afterward. A very friendly atmosphere and super-friendly hosts. The trout and fried potatoes were truly excellent. I'd love to come back if I'm in the area again!
