Pros:
Most important: the very good food at a really reasonable price
Furthermore: attentive and friendly service in Italian, English and German, beautiful location with a magnificent view of the lake.
Minuses:
On the evening I was there it was relatively loud in the restaurant. And, more importantly, the timing of the gears was not good. amuse bouche and the first two courses came within 15 minutes, then there were two 30 minute waits for the next two courses. On the other hand, the meat main course came less than 5 minutes after I had finished the fish course (the sommelier didn't even have enough time to bring the wine) - that could be better and costs one star in the rating.

Going to the Esplanade is a certainty! My favorite starred restaurant!
The kitchen offers a long, broad and well-executed menu, welcoming service and an extensive wine list at correct prices!
In my heart they don't have one star but at least 5!!!

Ein Erlebnis, das nur schwer weltweit zu toppen ist! Das ist meine Zusammenfassung der Erlebnisse dort! Der Patron und der Restaurantleiter sind herausragende Gastgeber! Der Weinkeller mit 25.000 Flaschen erlesener Tropfen und die ausgezeichneten Kenntnisse des Someliers sind für jeden Enthusiasten erlesener Weine ein dauerhaftes Erlebnis! Die Küche sucht nicht nur am Gardasee ihresgleichen! Eine Empfehlung nicht nur des Michelins, sondern auch von mir!

Ristorante monostellato di lunga tradizione, un grande classico. Il servizio e la qualità della materia è superiore a posti che ho provato con due o tre stelle. Abbiamo provato il menu di pesce di mare, tutto molto buono, preparazioni leggere anche se sofisticate. Rispetto ad altri stellati noto un minor lavoro sulle consistenze ma un eccellente mano nel trattare una grande materia prima. Prezzi e carta dei vini da stellato (menu degustazione sui 150 a testa).
