Ristorante Er Gallo Nero In Roma

A great restaurant and pizzeria offering traditional Roman dishes like Gricia and Carbonara, lamb, Jewish-style artichokes, thin-crust pizzas, delicious appetizers, and exquisite desserts. We loved the fried zucchini flowers, cacio e pepe supplì, fried pizzetta, Margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella, crema catalana, and tiramisu. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is casual.

At "Er Gallo Nero" we enjoyed dishes that embody the heart of Roman dining: authenticity, family warmth, and recipes executed to perfection.

We went for pizza with friends and had a great time. The pizzas are thin, well-topped, and fragrant; the fried foods (including Ascoli olives, various types of supplì, and battered cod) are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, as they should be. I was impressed by the supplì all'amatriciana my husband and son had, because it's made not with rice, but with tonnarelli: truly unique and delicious (I tried a piece). The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. We'll definitely be back.

Neighborhood pizzeria. Good appetizers and excellent wood-fired pizza. Very friendly atmosphere and great prices.

Excellent Roman pizza, and excellent service. We were in the area, short on time, and returned to this restaurant after many years. Even though it was late, around 10 pm, they were excellent. The table was set with great care and discretion: truly kind. The pizzas arrived in a flash, and the wood-fired oven is fantastic; they cooked perfectly. The ingredients are high-quality, perhaps not abundant, but given the speed we requested, they still deserve top marks. The atmosphere is informal, perfect for groups and families, and there's karaoke for singing along in the dining room. There's also a large outdoor dining area, which, especially in the summer, is great for children. Reservations are recommended during rush hour, and parking isn't easy nearby before 10 pm. You won't find anything better in this category in the Battistini area.

Truly one of the best in the area. Superb pizzas and everything is always perfect.
