We ate outdoors, excellent service, tartare, crostini with creamed cod and fish risotto with lime, all excellent. The desserts are also of excellent quality. Price appropriate to the quality and service

Lovely location in a quaint alley off the main drag. Service was perfunctory. Food aspired to be more than it was. The 'sea in a bag' was served in some kind of plastic bag in the plate which was reminiscent of an actual plastic bag you might find washed up on a beach (but that's maybe unfair!). What isn't unfair is to say the fish was seriously overcooked and the bread was shop bought, white and very processed if not bordering on ultra. Don't get me wrong, this is a good restaurant, just not as good as perhaps thinks it is, and certainly not for the prices it charges

Small, cozy restaurant in a small alley in Trieste, a little away from the hustle and bustle. Very attentive service staff and the food was excellent in all courses. We recommend.

Wonderful gem tucked down a back street away from the hustle of the crowds. Our waiter was lovely and the food was great. We had the special of the day- fresh clam linguine (amazing!!) and the fillet if sea bass (excellent!). Lovely all round and a bonus that the loo was immaculate!!

A nice atmosphere in a quiet alley. Risotto with shrimp and truffles are a poem! Very friendly service.

We had a lovely lunch at Ego. Great service, delicious food, nice vibe. Traditional options on the menu with some dishes of the day - everything we had was excellent; and reasonably priced. We’d happily return.

22/11/2024: We stopped for lunch on the advice of friends who live in Trieste and we were really satisfied. Very varied menu, fast service, very friendly staff. We hope to return soon.
20/11/2024: They brought me here after telling me about the place several times. Characteristic, informal and rather noisy and lively place. Wide choice of dishes for all tastes, some of which are very tasty and unique. Good quality bulk wine. Price more than fair. Fast service and attentive and helpful staff. Well done, actually, very good.

08/11/2024: I liked it a lot: cozy but welcoming, excellent typical Trieste cuisine, quick service and courteous staff. I highly recommend it, also for the excellent quality-price ratio!
25/10/2024: Oh what can I say! Quality and fast service when you have little time to return to the clinic... on Fridays an obligatory stop for lunch with your aunt. Highly recommended, not only the quality and service but also the price. Well done and keep going
