08/09/2023: Pleasant and refined location, very good fish dishes. It is always pleasant to dine while listening to the voice of the sea in the background. We will be back for sure!
06/09/2023: Surprise flavors!
My wife and I "accidentally" stumble upon this restaurant. On one of our trips where we go "randomly" in search of fish restaurants without booking...
Premise nr 1: the rating on the service (5s) is sincere but it must also be said that we went to the season almost over; There were only two of us in the room plus a table with 4 kids so it should be checked at busier times. Having said that, in our experience the service was quick, courteous (with the right entertainment that never becomes invasive) and precise.
Premise nr 2: be wary of the menu... I mean, no matter how good you are at imagining the flavors of the various dishes you are choosing, you will be surprised. Very pleasantly I would say. Yes, because you can't imagine the overall effect of octopus with Burrata, honey, hazelnuts and rocket. You need to eat a bite with all the elements to get an idea of everything. You can't even imagine the effect of tuna meatballs with turnip greens and parmesan fondue... Crispy on the outside but with a warm, melting heart of provola...
These two dishes are a must try. The rest, however, is no less. We also had crudité appetizers (the Cetraro red prawn is unparalleled), fried baby octopus, cuttlefish julienne with caramelized Tropea onion. All accompanied by a Critone white wine from the Librandi winery, coffee and amaro.
The final bill is €80. Probably the same menu in our city (Verona) would have cost exactly double...
Overall, a very pleasant experience, it's just a shame that at Christmas, when we return to the area, they are closed. They observe seasonal opening approximately from April to October. Follow us on social media for updates on menu changes and openings!
