The service is courteous, and the wait times are reasonable. Overall, a positive experience, but without any particular surprises.

We're the Lo Verde family. We'd like to publicly thank the staff for the wonderful weekend we just had. The food was fresh and elegantly served, the pool and sea were spectacular. The entertainment staff was incredibly friendly and full of initiative. What can we say? We'll definitely be back, and for more.

This morning I called Hotel il Gabbiano in Terme Vigliatore to make a reservation and was honestly very flattered and impressed by the kindness of Rosa at the front desk, who provided me with all the information I could with great professionalism. In fact, I booked both for the beautiful place, which I've already stayed at, and for Rosa's helpfulness and elegance!!! ... I wanted to thank the owners of the hotel for having such respectful and deserving people working with their guests. For this very reason, I was very happy to have chosen the best place and equally happy to find such exceptional people!!! Thank you so much, see you soon.

This is my 3rd time in Sicily. We stayed at this hotel as part of a large group from Riga from June 21, 2025 for 7 nights. Breakfast and dinner with water and wine were included. This hotel has only 3*, but I would give it all 4*. We got room 212 with a sea view, from the balcony you could watch beautiful sunsets. The room is very nice in size, there is a refrigerator, in which on the day of arrival there were 2 bottles of water, there is a safe, there is air conditioning. The bathroom has a hairdryer and bidet. For each, 3 towels, which were changed every day. They also cleaned every day. There are also umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach, there is a pool, but you need a swimming cap. On the balcony there is a clothes dryer with clothespins, which was very pleasing. There is even animation: aerobics and a disco. There are a lot of advantages, but it seemed to me that the hotel is not ready for such an influx of guests. At breakfast there were huge queues for the serving (it was tiny) and for the coffee machine. The machine made great coffee, but very slowly. For breakfast there was one type of cheese, one type of ham and one type of sausage, different buns and pies. This quickly becomes boring, you want hot food. No one said that they could give you boiled or fried eggs, you had to order them from the workers. We managed to eat eggs once, they quickly ran out. Dinner consisted of many dishes: appetizers, which you took yourself, pasta, a main course and an ice cream cake. You have to choose from the menu the day before. The menu is only in Italian. We always ordered white wine, but for some reason they always brought red. They wrote white, and then bianco, but the result did not change. I got the impression that the hotel is more oriented towards Sicilians. This is a wonderful hotel if you have a car, since there are no shops in the area. It takes 40 minutes to walk to the store in the heat and back, and it is already hot from 8 am. The hotel is located on the first line, but it is also the last and the only one. There is a road behind the hotel, but there is no public transport. To swim, you need slippers or at least flip-flops, the sand gets very hot. I am a bad swimmer, for me the downside is that it is immediately deep. There is a sharp cliff 3 meters from the shore, you need to be careful. There is a lifeguard on duty on the beach. We left for excursions at 8 am, came back from them at 7 pm. Dinner at 8 pm. We had time to swim, there were no problems with sun loungers. The problems began on days free from excursions: sometimes we took the wrong sun lounger, we had to move to another. This was annoying, it was not clear which sun lounger to take. They constantly drove us away, spoke Italian, which we did not know. All the sun loungers looked free. Probably some rules apply, they were not explained to us. On the first evening we wanted to have dinner on the terrace in the fresh air, they said that there were places for a group in the hall. Also unclear, the terrace was empty. They were probably waiting for the Sicilians in the restaurant. The best seats were left for them.

The location is excellent, with a beautiful, wide beach overlooking the Aeolian Islands. The service is good, with friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is excellent, and the entertainment staff are excellent. The rooms are a bit dated and in need of a major renovation.

Excellent hotel located on the seafront with direct access to the beach. The sea-view rooms are beautiful and offer a magnificent view all the way to the Aeolian Islands. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and functional. The breakfast buffet is excellent and varied, as are the meals served at the table, with a buffet of appetizers and side dishes available. It offers beach service with loungers and umbrellas. A well-kept swimming pool and a hot tub are also available. The hotel has large outdoor areas equipped with tables and chairs. And finally, a bar serving excellent ice cream and granitas. Highly recommended for its excellent value.
