I go there every now and then when I want to eat well. It's an out-of-the-way place where you're always welcomed warmly. Service is a bit slow, but you go to relax: it's in a mountain village, not a city, so the people are relaxed. Excellent food prepared with quality ingredients. A wide selection of traditional dishes, some of which are very tasty. Generous portions, most dishes are served on a tray, with quantities to suit your needs. The amazing thing is that even though I always eat too much when I go, I've never once felt full, and that says a lot about the cuisine. The Piedmontese-style fritto misto is well-made and never greasy. Ideal for group dinners in the large, less attractive dining room, or for a more intimate dinner in the smaller, decidedly prettier and more welcoming dining room. Ample parking.

We ordered the Piedmontese-style mixed fried fish at the restaurant, which arrived piping hot and served on reheated plates. The savory options were delicious: brains, liver, frog, pork cutlets, sausage, zucchini, eggplant, zucchini blossoms, radicchio, Ascoli olives, broccoli, and peppers. The dessert options included pumpkin, apple, amaretto, semolina, pavesino, Bacio di Dama, and chocolate pudding.

We were warmly welcomed by an excellent waitress and immediately pampered. Good food and impeccable service, no waiting. Excellent value. Piedmontese-style mixed fried fish: plentiful and with all the familiar ingredients. The bulk wine was also good: Barbera. The only flaw...the lack of a receipt.
