We got married in this beautiful location in 2015, and already then it was everything we ever dreamed and wished for. Over the last 10 years, we’ve been back 3 times, and would recommend it for anyone wanting to experience the tranquility, the scenery, the lovely atmosphere as well as good food and wine. Don’t miss it, it’s worth the drive ❣️

Great stay in a beautiful location.

An unforgettable stay in a haven of peace and elegance. The service, the setting, the rooms—everything is perfect. The understated luxury of a place steeped in history.

From the moment I arrive I had a happy smile on my face. The location its beatufil, and the service feels premium. The team greets you warmly, takes care of your things and creates a great first impression. The location is perfect if you want to disconnect from city life and beach crowds. It is surrounded by countryside, full of peace and relaxation. Rooms and amenities keep the charm of a farm but deliver the quality of a premium hotel. The pool is one of the highlights. It is beautifully set, perfect for the sun, with drinks, small snacks and even refreshing granitas available. The only things that could be better is the dining experience (only reason I don’t say its a 5star). The food is nice, well set up but compared to other places in Sicily (fancy or not) it could have a lot more flavor to it. Both breakfast and dinner are served in the indoor dinner, the space is elegant but with such a beautiful location and pleasant temperatures it feels like something is missing by not having the chance to dine outdoors. Oh and their wines, that surely you will appreciate as they had really great options by the glass to try a few different ones. Overall Susafa is an excellent retreat for peace, relaxation and premium service, with only small room for improvement in the dining experience but well had only 1 night and would love to experience it further again.

Amazing one of a kind experience. Location is definitely tough but well worth a couple of nights to relax and unplug. We did a day trip to Cefalu + one to Punta Grande while here. Having the owner on property was a nice touch & you can tell how much he cares about Susafa & Sicily. Best croissants we have ever had ... would return for those alone.

We had a delightful stay at Susafa. We particularly enjoyed our dinner and the breakfast, which featured fresh fruits and vegetables from the property. The fresh juices and cold cuts were especially good. The venue is set on a stunning estate surrounded by fields, making it the perfect place to take in the views and relax by the pool. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay !

What a wonderful stay we had. We started our honeymoon at Susafa, we stayed for 4 nights. The food was incredible, home grown, cooked to perfection and tasted so fresh. I feel some reviews I’ve read very unfair on food- there are lots of options, we never ate the same thing twice! The staff were so lovely, couldn’t do more for you whether it be getting you a drink at the pool, collecting your luggage or serving you in the restaurant. We did the pasta making class with Melissa, that was amazing, we were able to learn about the Sicilian way of cooking, cook together and enjoy our delicious cooking together with a glass of wine. Melissa made it so much fun and was so lovely to spend time with. The owner came and joined us to say hello and try the food we had made which was a nice touch. If you want a place to relax then Susafa is the place, it’s so tranquil and relaxing, you can hear nature and catch up on rest. We have never stayed somewhere like Susafa before and was so pleasantly surprised.

Truly one of the most amazing experiences my fiance and I have had together. Between the staff, the food and the detail in every single corner of this hotel, we were hooked and can’t wait to go back someday. Can’t recommend enough.

The Place ist magical, in the middle of nowhere. (30min Ride bumpy road, attention for rental car). If you search a relaxing Hotel, it is the Right Choice. Nice staff. Perfect Pool area. Stunning views. Great Breakfast and Dinner. Dinner has 3 Menus (3 or 5 Course betw. 75-90€), also every dish a la carte (20-30€ per dish). No Mini Bar, no TV (Both is not missing) to calm down. Family-owned Hotel.

Review Overrated: The hotel and the scenery are very pretty, but that's about it. We stayed three nights in a standard room at Susafa. Standard is the word; it could have been okay if the air conditioning worked properly, but it didn't. That, plus the humidity in the room and the "emergency light" that goes off in the middle of the night every time the power goes out, are not worthy of a hotel claiming to be a "luxury hotel." Luxury is Susafa's biggest problem. Everything is overpriced, and you feel trapped in this place far from any civilization (at least 25 minutes from the nearest village). The same problem applies to the activities; if they aren't comprehensive, expect to pay at least €90 for even the smallest activity (e.g., making cannoli for 4 hours, yay). Their service is disappointing, the cocktails aren't good, few waiters speak English, and the QR code ordering service works only once in a dozen times. In short, there's clearly work to be done before they can call themselves a "luxury hotel" and charge the prices they do. There are also details over which they have no control but which make the experience even more disappointing, such as the tireless battle with insects or the fact that at 900 meters above sea level, the climate is not the same as on the coast, especially at night. I still wanted to highlight the quality of the breakfast and the kindness of the staff. A little tip: don't hesitate to visit the charming village of Caltavuturo; you can eat and drink there at much more reasonable prices than those in Susafa. In short, if you're an old, eco-friendly couple who don't know what to do with their money, go for it! For the others, you will find much better, much cheaper, elsewhere.
