17/03/2024: I ate at this tavern on the occasion of the Granfondo del Po: excellent traditional Ferrarese food, kind, attentive and attentive staff. Cozy and well-kept place. I highly recommend it.
17/03/2024: Located in one of the most evocative historic streets of Ferrara, the restaurant offers an excellent choice of traditional and non-traditional dishes. The environment is welcoming and very characteristic, with the typical red brick that accompanies almost all of Ferrara. Although there is an air of tradition, the plating of the dishes and the furnishings of the restaurant give a note of modernity and elegance, creating a pleasant, refined and harmonious environment. The service was excellent, the staff was attentive, friendly and prepared, ready to respond to the need.
The dishes were well received, flavors not overly complex but well constructed and appreciable. The courses are substantial and well balanced: three of us with a shared starter, a first course each and two shared desserts left satisfied. I strongly recommend trying some local dishes, to better appreciate the local cuisine: among the dishes that I would like to recommend are Cappellacci di Zucca, in various variations, and the Pasticcio Ferrarese.
Overall, I absolutely recommend the place, especially if visiting for a few days, to anyone who wants to savor good typical dishes in an equally typical environment, but with renewed tastes (much appreciated note). To avoid misunderstandings, especially during weekends or holidays, I always recommend calling for availability.
