An unpretentious restaurant, but worth a visit. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and the service is super friendly!

We stumbled upon it by chance. We didn't know it and from the outside it doesn't look very appealing. But we had a very pleasant surprise and enjoyed extraordinarily good dishes, for a super honest price. The owner is very kind and friendly. I will definitely go back.

David è sicuramente uno dei ristoranti del cuore, tempio del mangiar bene a prezzi più che onesti. Veramente meta irrinunciabile del buon cibo, questo ristorante vecchio stampo è un vero angolo di paradiso culinario. Fantastico a partire dal servizio gentilissimo e professionale di David e i suoi ragazzi, potrete rilassarvi e deliziarvi con piatti freschissimi sia di terra che di mare, sapientemente cucinati al momento e pronti a farvi impazzire di genuinità: gli antipasti sempre assortiti sia di terra che di mare, gustosissimi e fragranti, i primi spettacolari carbonara di mare, vongole lupino, cozze e parmigiano e altre specialità a seconda della disponibilità e della freschezza degli ingredienti) fino agli abbondanti secondi a base di pesce freschissimo (ad esempio il gustosissimo pesce al forno con patate, pomodori e olive taggiasche o l'indimenticabile catalana di scampi con frutta e verdura), terra, verdure, tutte veramente portate buonissime (persino i contorni sono sempre buonissimi), con ampia scelta di dolci (come se tutto questo non bastasse) tradizionali e fragranti (anch'essi tutti preparati sapientemente da David, come gli squisiti gelati e sorbetti ai gusti mai banali), il tutto accompagnato da buoni vini della casa e liquorini per accompagnare al meglio i dolci. Impossibile trovare difetti a David dato che si può affermare in tutta tranquillità che cenare qui sia una delle esperienze più genuine da farsi negli immediati dintorni di Livorno (raggiungibilissimo dal litorale, da Pisa come anche da ogni città vicina data la vicinanza del'uscita della superstrada FI-PI-LI): David è sicuramente uno fra qui ristoranti del cuore che valgono davvero il viaggio. Consiglio di prenotare un po' in anticipo: dato l'eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo e dato il fatto che il ristorante è veramente ambito per le più diverse occasioni (da cene intime a compleanni - infatti sono bravissimi anche a gestire grandi gruppi e grazie al talento di David e alla sua ottima cucina posso dire di aver passato qui uno fra i miei compleanni più azzeccati che abbia mai festeggiato), in definitiva i più che meritati complimenti a lui e a tutto il suo staff, fedele ai principi di genuinità delle materie prime e ottimo servizio. Bravissimo David, grazie ancora di cuore, i più cari complimenti e..dato che vali il viaggio, ci rivedremo sicuramente molto presto!

David, a true heartfelt restaurant in Vicarello and beyond. Truly an unmissable destination for good food, this old-fashioned restaurant is a corner of truly genuine cuisine. Fantastic starting from the very kind and professional service of David and his guys, you will be able to spend a wonderful evening with very fresh dishes from both land and sea (very fresh fish), expertly cooked at the moment and ready to make you go crazy with taste: for example the appetizers either from land or sea in always assorted courses, the very tasty and fragrant first courses (don't miss the legendary sea fuel, the lupine clams or the pennette with mussels and parmesan but the choice can vary vary with the off-menu offer) up to the abundant second courses based on always fresh and expertly cooked fish (for example the baked fish with potatoes, tomatoes and taggiasca or the unforgettable Catalan scampi with fruit and vegetables), various side dishes, all delicious dishes with finally a wide choice of desserts prepared by David (traditional and fragrant (ice creams and above all fresh fruit sorbets and never banal, cakes etc etc), all accompanied by good house wines and liqueurs for those who wanted to accompany the dessert. It is impossible to find fault with this temple of taste given that dining here is certainly one of the most genuine experiences to have in the immediate surroundings of Livorno (very accessible from both the coast and the hinterland, from Pisa as well as from any nearby city given the proximity of the restaurant to the Vicarello exit of the FI-PI-LI and the Collesalvetti motorway toll booth): David is one of those favorite restaurants that are without a shadow of a doubt worth the trip. I recommend booking in advance: given the excellent quality-price ratio and given the fact that the restaurant is truly sought after for the most varied occasions (from intimate dinners to birthday parties - in fact, thanks to their skill and excellent cuisine I recently spent one of the most successful birthdays I have ever celebrated here), ultimately all the compliments to David and all his staff, who have always been faithful to his principles of genuineness of raw materials and attentive and professional service, are more than deserved. Well done indeed, thank you again from the bottom of my heart, we will be back very soon and...keep it up David!

Excellent fish cuisine, very generous portions, David and his staff will pamper you as they should. The Catalan and the tuna steak are highly recommended. The sweets? All amazing. The bill? You won't believe it…. All you have to do is try it.
