The ambiance is reminiscent of the 1950s, a dive into Tuscan village tradition—part shop, part rotisserie, part osteria. The menu is announced by word of mouth, with Tuscan appetizers, classic dishes, from pappardelle with wild boar to lasagna (both excellent), tagliata with arugula and parmesan (a touch of parmesan almost equals the weight of the meat), and other old-fashioned rotisserie-style main courses. The portions are generous, and the prices are truly reasonable.

Off-the-Beaten-Path Gem - Come Hungry! We were craving a good, hearty lunch and stumbled upon Ristorante Da Sante - a convenient yet wonderfully local spot, far from the usual tourist traffic. We came by on Sunday at 11:15 AM, and it was already fully booked inside - clearly a beloved local spot, possibly popular with the post-church crowd. Luckily, we were able to order takeaway: • Lasagna • Roasted chicken and potatoes €19 euro And wow - everything was phenomenal. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, the potatoes perfectly roasted and full of flavor. The smell of meat roasting on the open fire spit was intoxicating - they had some seriously good cuts going. By the time we left, a line had already formed behind us. And props to the one guy running the show: grilling, roasting, taking orders - all at once. Impressive. A true hidden gem. Come early, come hungry - and don’t miss the roast meats.
