My favorite place. Wonderful people. Enchanted environment, amidst the greenery of the mountains. Not to mention the food: absolutely the best tordelli you can find in Lucca (and beyond) ... try it! In short, many good reasons to go to Rita and Rinaldo ❤️

Difficult to find but in a beautiful place.Food and service excellent. If we had a longer holiday, we would go there again. Waitress spoke excellent english.

The views are spectacular, it's lovely to sit outside. The manager is very nice and speaks English too. Lovely to have a nice cool beer with the family.

Renovated place, managed by young and trained staff, very pleasant evening, we found the oriental one, with chopsticks!! Not very bright but welcoming, prices are average. To return!

28/07/2024: Di ritorno da un weekend al mare, non avevamo intenzione di mangiare ancora pesce, ma poi, stuzzicati dal menu', ci siamo lasciati attrarre e non ce ne siamo pentiti. Tutto ottimo! Compreso il servizio, attento e cordiale. Bravi!

29/07/2024: Proprio dietro le mura, all'ingresso di Barga, a due passi dal Duomo, L'Altana è un ottimo posto sotto tutti i punti di vista: personale gentile e rapido, atmosfera piacevole e soprattutto alta qualità delle proposte gastronomiche a un prezzo onesto. Consiglio i maccheroni al tartufo (tartufo vero...) e tutti i primi fatti in casa; il filetto di maiale al pepe verde, semplice ma gustosissimo; i contorni con sformati di verdura e il tiramisù fra i dessert. Ottimo anche il vino della casa. Esperienza da ripetere...
24/06/2024: A refined but at the same time welcoming environment with excellent food prepared with care. Staff very attentive to customer needs, we felt at ease (thank you for the toys you brought us to keep the children at bay and for your kindness). Amazing fresh homemade pasta, equally delicious flan and side dishes and succulent meat. Desserts prepared with attention and first choice ingredients. The wine is also good. What can I say, on a rainy day you were a magnificent positive note.
