I hesitated to go here because it is touristy and the menu is quite broad and the reviews aren't wonderful. Honestly I don't know why! We went and the food was excellent. I had an amazing pasta with duck in a reduction sauce that was divine. My husband had the arrabiatta pasta and it was spicy so ask for the level you like. If you get the spice to your taste its great! The location could not be more beautiful with the lights against the church in a downtown square. We were there in winter and the heaters kept us plenty warm. Service was excellent.

The overall atmosphere is beautiful The service is great We ordered pasta, which I thought was delicious Bolognese (8/10) And a delicious Margherita pizza (8/10) I didn't like the idea of it being runny in a way that ruined the other dishes. For me, it was a different dessert, not tiramisu (5/10)

The best restaurant in downtown Como! Everything is delicious and the service is great. They serve delicious bread and butter while you wait for your order.

The restaurant is very nice. The Caesar salad was amazing. The burger (cheeseburger) was very delicious (I recommend trying it). The pizza is excellent.

Como has endless amounts of hills/mountains, water (Lake Como is 149 sq kms and the deepest lake in Europe at 425M), and restaurants. There are restaurants on every square, every corner and every side street, all touting for your patronage. With such endless choice, how do you choose where to have your evening dinner? Well we have a suggestion for you. A restaurant with lots of nocturnal atmosphere (flaming gas light heaters), opposite the Cathedral, excellent service and gourmet cuisine (at a price), Da Pietro. The meals are a level up from the norm and the Beef Wellington is divine. Plenty of menu choice beyond the standard pasta and pizza, and a good selection of wines (it’s Italy, what else could you expect!) If you are really lucky you will get young Russian Kate (Kata) as your waitress, perpetually smiling , very efficient and attentive to your every dining need. Also as well as speaking Russian , she also speaks both fluent English and Italian very quickly, but not at the same time! An excellent dining experience, great food, efficient and friendly service via Kata. RECOMMENDED.

Nice for a beer, nothing more. We returned a decade later and there is a significant improvement, although the price is expensive, but because of its location...
