Visitando Perugia il 25 aprile abbiamo trovato due posti per mangiare da Peppone. Personale alla mano, servizio non velocissimo ma piatti molto buoni in particolare la carbonara era deliziosa. 🙂

Typical Umbrian-Roman food. We ate umbricelli with sausage and then two parmigiana, one classic and the other with artichokes.
Everything was very good, too bad for the artichoke parmigiana because it was still frozen inside.

Ancient trattoria in the historic center of Perugia offering simple traditional Umbrian dishes, carefully presented and of excellent quality.
Superlative mixed appetizer, consisting of torte al testo filled with sautéed vegetables, eggs and bruschetta with Umbrian oil, all sprinkled with fragrant truffles.
The tortelli with cheese and truffle are special, followed by a sublime and very tender cut enriched with rocket, berries, pine nuts and flaked almonds in a cocktail of pleasant flavours.
A wine with character, the Rosso di Torgiano 'Rubesco'.
And finally a delicious carnival struffolo with Alchemis and honey.
The owner Giuseppe is nice and friendly and, in proposing and describing the dishes, makes you anticipate them ahead of time.
