Ristorante Da Peppino In Capri

Ci siamo fermati quasi per caso a pranzo in questo locale, il titolare ed i camerieri subito molto cordiali e simpatici. Abbiamo preso una pizza margherita e, su suggerimento del titolare, i ravioli alla caprese. Entrambe le pietanze buonissime e con una passata di pomodoro gustosa e che non si è fatta risentire per niente durante la digestione. Ingredienti ottimi, prezzi normali, tutto molto soddisfacente, ho fatto loro i miei complimenti.

We were in Capri for a day excursion and stopped here for an afternoon refreshment whilst waiting for our ferry, as it’s situated at the front of the port area. We weren’t there for a full meal and I don’t think I would have chosen here for a full meal, as it has the feel and look of a snack bar, more than a restaurant. I have to say that we paid what I consider to be a lot for our lunch in a restaurant in the square up in Capri town and found the prices here more reasonable. I got the impression that you need to expect to be ripped off to some extent if you visit Capri. There’s an arrogant air about in the restaurants and you get the impression that the staff are doing you a favour by serving you. I can see why there’s lots of visitors walking about eating takeaways. Anyway, we enjoyed our latte, limoncello cocktail and our shared cannoli. It was quieter and less manic than other restaurants nearby. Can’t say we’ll be rushing back to Capri though.

We had a wonderful meal and experience here. The staff were very welcoming on a cold evening and graciously took into account by food intolerances. My whole orata fish was cooked to perfection and was truly delicious. My husband's mixed seafood with homemade pasta was also delicious and was a generous serve. Thank you to Bruno and his staff for a beautiful introduction to Capri.

The food and service here was on point. We came here as it is very close to the Marina and we were pretty hungry. The bruschetta was fresh and the bread was garlicky and well toasted. The pizza was one of the best pizzas I had during my trip. It was well seasoned and the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. I got the pasta here and it was impressive. Maybe not the best pasta of the trip but still pretty up there. And our gelato was of course delicious. They had so many flavors it was hard to pick. The house wine was so god as expected.
