Super typical dinner... friendly service, excellent food!!!!!! A true Piedmontese, I ate the eggplant parmigiana and it tasted just like my mom's!!!!!

Absolutely recommended! I can only speak highly of the place. My fiancée and I voted da Nello as the best restaurant in the world. We first saw the restaurant in a video by a well-known Hungarian vlogger, and we made a detour to Bologna specifically for da Nello at the beginning of our Tuscan vacation. It was absolutely worth it! The tagliatelle al ragu was divine, the cheesecake was heavenly, as was all their other dishes. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. At the end, we even managed to get together with them for a picture and received a small ceramic bottle of limoncello as a gift. Thank you to the entire staff of da Nello! The food is excellent!! We never miss out during the truffle season! From the starters to the main courses, to the side dishes and desserts, everything is delicious! The staff is very kind and friendly. Nello is always a guarantee!

This is the fourth restaurant in Bologna we have eaten in this trip and we enjoyed the meal, but it was not as refined as the other three. It is a very large restaurant offering dozens of choices, and perhaps that has an impact on quality control. Our waiter was very pleasant but was covering too many tables to be able to check if we had run out of water and so on. It was packed and the noise level was quite high.

I'll start by saying that the food, service, and atmosphere are five-star. Our lasagna, in particular, was truly fabulous! The slightly larger pieces of meat gave it a pleasant texture in the mouth and a three-dimensionality that complemented the rich, flavorful flavor. The friendly and attentive waiter also contributed to the wonderful experience. One sore point, however, was the seating: the narrow, backless, two-person bench was uncomfortable, and our backs suffered over time. I understand the need to optimize space, but a little more comfort was needed. Another area that could be improved: the menus. Given the restaurant's caliber and reputation, the menus feel truly "cheap," almost like a piadina at a beach resort. A more thoughtful redesign would certainly make them more worthy of the restaurant (I highly recommend changing them!). Furthermore, they were placed on top of the napkins at the table, which wasn't exactly hygienic: it would be more elegant and proper for the waiter to bring them directly to the customers after they were seated. In conclusion: excellent food and service, my compliments. These small touches alone would be enough to elevate the experience to a top level, where the restaurant fully deserves to be.

The Bolognese ragu is delicious, but I expected a little more from it. The desserts are fantastic, however. The service is polite, the atmosphere is excellent.

Ummmm. Not sure about the previous, recent reviews. Staff, ambiance, wine: all good. Food: all dishes were tasty enough but didn’t look very appealing, were produced quickly and were presented as if from a conveyor belt. Where’s the love?!
