Decent cuisine with ups and downs, embarrassing service with grumpy and unprofessional "girls"... portion served on trousers and shoes, which was followed by no apology or desire to clean... in the bathrooms, the serious lack of soap in two of the three available... with 140 people it sold out quickly... shame.. 😞

Truly excellent food and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. Traditional Piedmontese dishes, but with a fresh presentation that never gets old. But the reason I wanted to give it seven stars is the service: on a somewhat difficult day, the smile and patience shown toward a little girl turned a potentially frustrating situation into a pleasant experience to remember. We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much from the entire family, especially the little girl.

This isn't the first time I've eaten at Mauro's. Today, Easter Sunday, everything was perfect. The staff was smiling, kind, and very helpful... thank you.

Stopping in Cuorgnè for lunch one Sunday, we happened upon this place. I'll admit I checked the reviews, and coincidentally, the most recent one (two weeks prior) wasn't the best, so I went in a bit prejudiced. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful staff and the owner's courtesy. They immediately found me a comfortable spot for my dog inside the air-conditioned restaurant (even though I'd requested an outside one so as not to disturb other diners), and they even brought him a bowl of fresh water. The wine cellar is excellent, and the menu is traditional Piedmontese (I tried the tasting menu). I also observed the same attentiveness and courtesy towards the other guests. Highly recommended! Simplicity is always the best.

Excellent food, highly recommended…but the only flaw is that you sweat like crazy on the plastic chairs!!

So the food may be good but I was fooled by the name... In a place called "l'Astoria da Mauro" I expect at least some reference to the USTA (it's not that I want the Astoria di Udine, but at least a t-shirt or something...) but above all "da Mauro"... one expects to see MERE of the UDA, or at least one of his VERY NICE goliardic writings, but nothing, not even half a Masaniello...

We had dinner just this evening, June 21st, on the occasion of the patronal feast that takes place in Cuorgnè (San Luigi). We had a great time, we had dinner with the Piedmontese tasting menu at a very honest price and the quality is excellent!!

Lunch with a fixed price menu, the wait was a bit long, but overall it was good!
