We went to this place and had a great time. Excellent food. Pleasant location. The waiter, Francesco, aka Checco, was very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.

Meh. Good food, but nothing outstanding. However, they couldn’t have been less interested in serving us or making our lunch a pleasant or memorable experience. Menus were almost tossed at us as the waiter passed by, and whilst not impolite, service with a smile it was not… When I came to pay, the same waiter must have passed me five times busying himself with more important activities. I asked the other chap in the end and his Mum came out and took my money, but it wasn’t the greatest experience. There are other great choices in Buonconvento, you’d be better off trying any of the other restaurants in the old town, or the bar serving burgers, or the pizzeria just outside the old town walls, both of which are 5-star!

It's a quaint restaurant with a family atmosphere and very well-prepared dishes... Tuscan cuisine, excellent Val d'Orcia wine and fast service... excellent!

Served and revered, a lunch fit for a king. We were passing through and chose at random, but we made the right choice. The focaccia with pecorino and sausage was world-class, and the first courses were delicious. We didn't try anything else.

Great food, typical of the area, with added flair. I had the special fish with crispy vegetables that were truly crispy. Even the house wine was good. The service was wonderful as well.

02/10/2025: Bellissimo e benissimo! It's definitely worth stopping by here. Super friendly staff, beautiful garden, and fantastic food. Not to mention the patron who watches over everything! A must-visit during our Castellina holidays. We've been here again – for us, the best and most highly recommended restaurant in Castellina! The hosts and staff are second to none – both here and at the second restaurant in the center! We're already looking forward to next year!

01/11/2025: A warm welcome and convivial atmosphere await you as soon as you step into this little gem in the heart of Siena, much like the absolutely delightful staff. The menu features traditional but generous primi (you absolutely must try the pici with porcini mushrooms – they're divine!). For secondi, customize your tagliata – a local specialty of seared and cooked sliced ​​beef – with homemade contorni. But a word of advice: don't miss the parmigiana (it deserves to be a dish in itself)... The desserts are also homemade: tiramisu, lemon mousse, or cantucci with "vino santo" to sample the local dessert.
