Da Lina was a delightful discovery. The place is spacious with a large outdoor patio, clean and welcoming.
The food won us over from the start. The appetizers were an explosion of flavors, and the first courses were excellent, as was the meat.
Everything was truly perfect!!!

A very charming place; we dined outdoors. The service was impeccable, well-organized, and the staff were young, efficient, cheerful, and courteous. The appetizers were exquisite, served with warm, crispy focaccia, drizzled with local extra virgin olive oil, a delicate flavor that wasn't too overpowering. The pizza was also excellent, all washed down with an excellent craft beer. The price was fair for the quality of the food and service. We'll definitely be back to try the first and second courses; from what I noticed by looking at what was being served at the nearby tables, they must be very inviting.

Tradition and experience distinguish this restaurant, which has been in business since 1905! If you're passing through Rome, you can't miss it. The carbonara is top-notch, as is the dry-aged meat, catering to every taste and palate. Recommended.

Truly a fantastic place. I discovered it by chance, and despite the two-hour drive, I can say it was worth it—and I really appreciate it.
The food quality and prices are excellent and fair. The portions are generous, and the staff is very friendly.
Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back to try their meat and perhaps take advantage of the outdoor seating.

A very nice place, both inside and out (well-kept green space), excellent food (especially the starters and desserts), extensive wine list, excellent value. It's a shame about the service, which, after a very warm welcome, left much to be desired:
- a very long wait between appetizers and main courses, even though the place wasn't packed,
so much so that no one had the desire or patience to order a main course (a shame, because they looked very inviting);
- several mistakes (despite using a tablet to take orders, they first forgot a starter, then a dessert, then a coffee...) and a somewhat rude attitude when pointed out.
Too bad, we went there to celebrate our recent wedding with relatives who couldn't attend, and the pace felt just like a wedding reception... despite there being only 15 of us.
We'll definitely be back to try other dishes, hoping this was just an unlucky day (although from other reviews, I suspect this isn't the case).
Even when paying, the attitude was quite rude, almost as if I was bothering the staff who were busy doing something else.

Unfortunately, service has deteriorated in recent years. Not all dishes on the menu are available, a sign of ineffective purchasing planning. It's a shame.

The place is very nice. Nothing to complain about. However, because it was crowded, the rice was very large, and we waited a long time for our food. And, in my opinion, it was a bit overpriced.

🇬🇧 Review: Dinner at the "Da Lina" Restaurant
Or: How to Find Culinary Happiness on a Mountain Slope and Tame Your Range Rover
For the second time, we set off on an adventure to the "Da Lina" Restaurant—and the adventure began even before the appetizer.
Valentijn took the wheel of the Range Rover, which navigated the winding gravel and mountain trails with regal agility, like an Alpine version of the Paris-Dakar Rally.
The sat-nav was off, the dust was rising, and even the birds were frowning at us.
Once we arrived: the parking lot. Or, as we call it now: slope parking.
At an angle that would make many a chairlift envious (20-25 degrees, no exaggeration!), we parked the car.
Getting out wasn't easy—the door felt as heavy as a safe, gravity trying to keep it closed.
All for a good dinner, right?
And thankfully: what a dinner!
We sat at a table in the garden, overlooking the countryside and the scent of the crackling wood fire that greeted us from the moment we arrived.
The smell of freshly baked dough, aromatic herbs, and wood smoke also promised something very special.
Appetizer – LE ROSE DI MARIO
Our favorite, and rightfully a classic in the making: these pizza rolls are a feast in themselves.
Soft dough, melted mozzarella, that delicate prosciutto that almost makes you want to whisper "I love you"...
Arugula as spicy as a model on the catwalk, and then those cherry tomatoes and olives...
It's as if Italy itself were climbing onto your plate to take you by the hand.
Perfect for sharing, though you have to be quick with us: sharing is relative when something is this good.
Main Course – ANGUS TAGLIATA, OIL AND SALT
Now, this is meat as it should be.
Thinly sliced, perfectly rare, seasoned with an olive oil from the Sabina region so flavorful it's breathtaking.
And then those Maldon salt flakes – crunchy and full of flavor.
No frills, no exaggeration: pure mastery.
Meanwhile, there was a lot of laughter at the table – about the uphill parking lot, about other tourists who perhaps didn't understand us, and about who would have to drive the Range Rover home (in the dark, to our mountain villa, of course).
And about who will have to walk up next time to truly deserve dinner.
Then: Romy, the last heroic participant of this expedition, takes the wheel for the return journey.
Like a true Max Verstappen, she brings us safely back to Casa Foglia.
The clouds of dust dance in the headlights, and the car behind us? It slowly disappears into the night, swallowed up by the darkness and the mountain.
A little mystery on the way home – but we arrived home, tired, happy, and already longing to return.
Final verdict:
The "Da Lina" restaurant remains a true gem.
From the enchanting atmosphere to the refined dishes and warm hospitality – here you eat with love, prepared with heart and character.
The journey to get there is absolutely worth it.
Rating: 9.5/10 – with extra points for the uphill parking experience and the romance of the wood fire.
We've come a long way, but if we're in the area, we'll definitely be back.

Complimenti ancora, a presto
