Great place. Maybe one of the most genuine restaurants in town. Service was great and the food was outstanding. The tiramisu was the best we'v ever tasted. Book in advance and expect to spend at least two hours here. Arrive hungry.

The typical Modenese cuisine is "DA DANILO" everything else is boring... then the Bavarian cream with nocino is a taste orgasm, only for refined palates, simply illegal 😁

Siamo stati qui in compagnia, si mangia bene, buoni i vini. Ci siamo divertiti tanto e abbiamo mangiato molto bene, ci ritorneremo.

Uno dei ristoranti principali e migliori di Modena. La tradizione modenese qua è di casa, ogni piatto è autentico è squisito. Il locale è alla mano e i prezzi sono giusto per il servizio offerto, che è ottimo! Non l’ho mai visto vuoto, è una certezza nel cuore di Modena!

Mittagessen in einem gepflegten Ambiente. Hatte als Hauptspeise Kalb mit Steinpilzen und grünem Spargel (18 €), was sehr gut war. Dazu gegrilltes Gemüse (5 €), das leider den Grill etwas zu lange gesehen hatte (teilweise schwarz). Dazu hatte ich einen guten Trebbiano (0,25 l) für 6 €.

Nos encontramos con Ristorante Danilo mientras visitaba Módena y rápidamente decidimos comer allí para el almuerzo porque tenemos un primo llamado Danilo. Nos sorprendió gratamente lo bueno que era y lo razonablemente asequible que era. El restaurante estaba lleno y el servicio todavía estaba en el lugar. Nuestros platos de pasta eran bastante deliciosos y tuvimos una botella de vino encantadora. El entorno era muy cómodo.

17/08/2025: La Vecchia Pirri is a Modena institution. Everything is delicious, the staff is incredibly friendly. It's a truly wonderful place, especially for us Modenese, and not just us. It's a very popular place, and the atmosphere is truly wonderful. Everything is delicious, from the excellent pizza to the restaurant. The desserts they make are delicious, especially the zuppa inglese, a typical Modenese dish. We highly recommend it.
13/08/2025: Vecchia Pirri is always a sure thing, a historic landmark in the heart of Modena. Tradition without too many frills. Giulia, one of the waitresses, is talented and cheerful. Congratulations to everyone.

29/07/2025: I often buy takeout pizza and eat it in much less often. The quality is really high, and I consider it one of the best pizzas you can find in Modena. The staff is courteous and friendly. I've tried the gnocco with prosciutto several times and highly recommend it. Someday I'll want to try the restaurant side of things.
03/06/2025: Good food. Very very tender. I'm usually not a big fan of beef but this was delicious. Someone else got the spaghetti with vongole and clams and she found is picante but good. So glad we found this spot. Really recommend.
